That is why we organized a PPE Day for all employees at our plant in Lüneburg – with practical insights into personal protective equipment, prevention and occupational safety. Our three stations – knowledge that protects: 1️. PPE from head to toe: Which gloves 🧤 are for which activity? Which protective clothing offers the best protection? With the right equipment ⛑️, you can not only prevent injuries but also increase safety and comfort. 2️. Respiratory protection & new PPE products: Protective masks are essential – but only if they are used correctly! 3️. Skin protection & skin scan: How do you protect, clean and care optimally? A skin scan 🔍 impressively showed how important preventive protection is. Safety is not an afterthought – it is our responsibility ✅! Aalberts surface technologies hosted a share and learn workshop 🌎 for colleagues across the European heat treatment network at its’ dedicated Nitriding facility in Telford, UK. Hosted by 2 of our very own Nitriding specialists 👨💻, Jamie Payton and Keith Laing, each with >25 years of specialist knowledge and experience, we brought together 15 colleagues from the 7 countries to share their expert know how in Nitriding processes. Together with input from operations and sales, discussions and presentations were delivered in relation to the sales process, Nadcap and aerospace conditions, quality systems and processes, specific techniques and special process adaptations. Process technology topics included Conventional Gas Nitriding versus Controlled Gas Nitriding, Duplex Nitriding using PVD and Plasma, Plasma Nitriding and Stainihard®, the Nitrocrburising of Stainless Steels, which was presented by sales specialist, Jeroen Jansen from the Eindhoven plant. Our four existing in-line machines in Lübeck are being successively expanded 🎯. The high-performance components like bipolar-plates, PTLs etc., can be refined with precious metal-free coatings, or with precious metals (Pt, Ir, Au etc.) in a resource-saving and cost-effective way 💰. Aalberts surface technologies in Lübeck today has a PVD-coating capacity of around 5 GW of electrolyzer capacity for hydrogen generation. 📢 Walk & Talk Safety Training in Kerpen. Workplace safety does not happen on its own – it thrives on active engagement and a strong sense of responsibility. The employees at our Kerpen plant demonstrated exactly that by participating in the Walk & Talk Safety Training 🦺 and working with great dedication to further strengthening the safety culture. A strong team and leadership by example make the difference. Plant manager Ralf Nott and his team not only participated but actively contributed to the training with great openness and engagement. Axel Janeczko, Laslo Thaller and Ludovic Laflaquière had the pleasure of guiding a highly motivated group through the training. The insightful discussions, active participation, and valuable feedback made this training a great success 💯. The positive feedback from Kerpen shows that this format has great potential. Our goal is to implement Walk & Talk Safety across all our plants and continuously strengthen our safety culture. Workplace safety is not a one-time project but an ongoing process – and every individual plays a crucial role. Through many years, we have evolved our expertise in using the electric arc process and mastered becoming specialist 👨🔬 for pure aluminum spraying in Pulversheim. 📢 Today, we are proud to share our partnership with one of the major players in the control valve industry for offshore platforms. This project was a challenge, as there were more than 300 units per year required. But thanks to our substantial equipment we were able to take on this challenge and to coat both - small and very large valves 🛠️, which was also a key factor in this project. Pure aluminum spraying aims to protect the parts from corrosion and roughness ensures that parts don't slip out of hands during assembly - especially important when working on offshore platforms! 😉 For this reason, our customer chose our professional coating skills, but they appreciated most the good preparation work 📝, which is essential for us in every project. We would like to thank them for their trust and are looking forward to future projects together!
