  • Don’t be like Joey! 😅 Stop using in-place components in Revit - seriously. They might feel like a quick fix, but they’ll slow you down in the long run. Why using parametric families matters to you? • Parametric families carry data: This means you can schedule them, tag them, filter them, and use them in quantity takeoffs or facility management. • They’re adaptable: Change one parameter and the entire family updates accordingly. • They ensure consistency: You get cleaner models, more accurate documentation, and fewer surprises down the line. In-place components are ISOLATED, MESSY, and BREAK your BIM FLOW. BIM isn’t just about modeling. It is about building smart, connected data. In-place components don’t belong in that system. How do you handle custom elements in your projects? P.S. I mean, be like Joey, but not when it comes to “in-place” components. 🤣 #revit #bim #design #architecture #youtube #balkanarchitect #parametricfamilies #inplacecomponents #components #modeling

  • Before you ask – explore 🧠 In today’s world of instant information, the ability to solve problems independently is more valuable than ever. It used to be: Ask Google. Now it’s: Ask ChatGPT. Before reaching out to a colleague, try the tools already at your fingertips – Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, forums… There’s a powerful mindset shift that happens when you go from: 👉 “I don’t know” to 👉 “Let me figure it out.” That shift changes everything. So next time you’re stuck, remember: • Google knows a lot • YouTube shows you how • ChatGPT helps you think it through It’s not about doing everything alone – it’s about becoming the kind of professional who solves problems, not just asks about them. Every challenge is a chance to grow! Those who figure things out, become leaders. Those who always ask, become followers. Which one are you? What’s your go-to method when you’re stuck on a problem? #revit #bim #design #architecture #youtube #balkanarchitect

Revit 2026: What’s Actually Worth Your Attention? 🧐 Over the past few weeks, I’ve been exploring the latest release of Revit - both out of curiosity and while working on new content for Balkan Architect. Now that Revit 2026 is officially out, I wanted to share some of my own thoughts. Not everything in this update is a game-changer, but there are definitely a few features that genuinely improve day-to-day workflows - especially when it comes to compound elements, documentation, and toposolids. I put together an article breaking down the features I think are actually worth your time - and which might not be. So if you’re wondering whether to upgrade now or wait it out, check out this article! I’d also love to hear your perspective - do you agree with my take on Revit 2026, or do you see it differently? #revit #bim #autodesk #productivity #design #architecture #construction #revit2026

  • New Sheet & Schedule Capabilities in Revit 2026! Revit 2026 introduces some much-needed improvements for sheet management and title blocks. New Sheet Parameters - Sheet Scale - Sheet Width & Height - Parameters from Title Blocks (both built-in & shared – no need to bind shared ones!) Improved Sheet List Schedule Easily include these new parameters in your Sheet List Schedules, bringing more flexibility and control over how you manage your drawing sets. Custom Scale Text with “Scale Override (Multiple Values)” Say goodbye to the generic "As indicated"! Revit now lets you apply a custom text override when multiple scaled views appear on a single sheet. 1. Works automatically when needed 2. Text-only (no numbers) 3. Can be linked to a Global Parameter for consistency across sheets This small but powerful update gives you cleaner, more informative title blocks - and makes your documentation look more intentional. Will this update make your workflow smoother? Let us know how you'll use these new features!
