  • Revit 2026 Just Made Your Life a Whole Lot Easier The new Parametric Rebar Cranking feature helps model cranked bars more efficiently - especially in tight, congested areas where avoiding clashes is critical. Here’s what’s new: • Cranks act like parametric terminations, similar to hooks • Works with both shape-driven and free-form rebar • Cranks can now propagate to similar concrete elements • Full control over crank dimensions and offsets • Visual indicators in the shape browser for easier editing • Rotation options (0° or 45°) for precise detailing • Crank parameters are reportable and customizable per instance This upgrade gives you better control, cleaner detailing, and fewer clashes when modeling reinforced concrete. Have you had a chance to explore it yet? Let us know your thoughts on use cases or features you'd like to see next. #revit #bim #autodesk #revittips #productivity #design #architecture #construction #rebar #reinforcement #revit2026

  • Revit 2026 – Smarter Tools for Slabs, Toposolids, and Sub-Divisions Here’s what’s new: 1. Copy-Paste Slab Points and Lines Now you can copy and paste points and lines in SlabShape elements (Toposolid, Floor, Roof). Plus, enjoy increased point limits for greater control over complex shapes. 2. Enhanced Sub-Division Controls in Toposolid - The Sub-Divide Height parameter is now Sub-Divide Offset, supporting positive (raised), zero (flush), and negative (recessed) values. - Sub-divisions can now use different Toposolid types, allowing for better material and thickness customization. - Overlapping sub-divisions now behave more predictably, enabling more creative design possibilities. - Added cut volume calculations for more accurate material takeoff. 3. Better Control Over Toposolid Sub-Divisions Sub-Division is now a distinct sub-category within Toposolid. 4. More Accurate Cut-Fill Volume Calculations Previous versions calculated cut-fill volumes for the entire Toposolid, often leading to inaccurate data. Revit 2026 now calculates cut-fill volumes only in affected areas, ensuring more precise and reliable data. These updates make site and slab modeling more flexible, efficient, and data-driven. Which of these features will improve your workflow the most? • Revit 2026 Walls Are Upgraded Here’s what’s new: 1. No More Mandatory Core Layers -Remove or shift layers outside the core boundary -Improved default joins between elements -Enhanced visibility control for finish walls and floors, making cross-discipline collaboration smoother 2. Duplicate Layers No more manual repetition! Now you can quickly duplicate layers within the Edit Assembly dialog for walls, floors, roofs, and ceilings - saving time and streamlining workflows. 3. New Wall Creation Methods - By Room & By Segment -Create Walls by Room - Select a closed area formed by room-bounding walls and columns and generate new walls with a single click. -Create Walls by Segment - Pick existing wall and column segments to create new walls with precision. What this means for you? Less manual work, more design freedom, faster modeling and cleaner results. Which of these features do you think will be the most useful? Even if you haven’t tested them yet, let me know which one you’re most excited to try. #revit2026 #bim #autodesk #revittips #productivity #design #architecture #construction #certification #upgrades2026 #revitupdates

  • Revit 2026 is HERE – What’s Actually Worth Your Time? Revit 2026 is here with practical upgrades to streamline your workflow and tackle long-standing BIM challenges. 1. Wall tool now supports compound wall workflow Compound walls are walls modeled by joining multiple walls together, to help with this Revit now allows us to: - have wall types without a core layer - set layer priority separate from layer function - place walls on a face of existing wall or even complete whole rooms with one click 2. Toposolids Just Got More Powerful Sub-Divide Offset Parameter - Now supports negative values, allowing for recessed areas without extra workarounds. Small but Mighty Updates - Copy points, yeah it’s finally here! You can even copy from one toposolid to another! More Accurate Cut-Fill - Improved volume calculations for graded regions and modifications. 3. Better Documentation & Sheet Management Automated View Positioning - Save and reuse view positions for consistent sheet layouts. Customizable Scale Overrides - No more generic “As indicated” labels - multi-scale sheets now look professional! 4. Graphics Enhancements Faster 3D Views - Autodesk promises 5x better performance, but results depend on your hardware. Option bar delete - option bar options are moved to the ribbon for modify tool, dimension tools and more 5. Structural updates Rebar Cranking - no longer a workaround, just add it like a hook Point-to-Point Steel Modeling - no more automatic cuts to your beams Custom connection upgrade - editing just got a whole lot easier 💡Should You Upgrade? Revit 2026 offers practical updates, but there’s no rush to upgrade mid-project. If these features solve problems in your workflow, it’s worth testing. Otherwise, waiting for the first patch might be the safer bet. See it in action! We’ve broken them down in our latest YouTube video, watch it now! 👉 https://lnkd.in/dVRzd5Dz Have you tried Revit 2026 yet? Which feature stands out the most? Let’s discuss in the comments! 👇

  • 🏗️ Want to start with some concrete structures in Revit? Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of creating basic concrete structures: -Start with the fundamentals: Set up your structural grids and establish your levels (crucial steps) -Build your core: Add walls and columns with precise dimensions -Create your framework: Implement beam systems -Ground your structure: Finish with proper foundation elements (isolated for columns, continuous for walls) The key to successful Revit modeling? Understanding the hierarchy of structural elements and their relationships. Start from the ground up, literally! 💡 Additional tip: Using the copy/paste aligned to selected levels saves tremendous time in multi-story structures.
