Express Freight Management had another successful training. EFM Lae employees from different departments whose roles are involved with purchasing and procurement attended the training on Saturday 22nd March.   The training objectives aim at developing and enhancing knowledge: -Gain the hands-on ability to source strategically following the procurement circle - Be aware and understand the procurement law -Develop negotiation skills and have the ability to evaluate and select suppliers on merits -Have the ability to read and understand contract management -Make best use of procurement technologies and tools -Create a sustainable procure relationship with suppliers -Gain an understanding of performance measurement and improvement   Participants were happy and acknowledged EFM Management for initiating this value-added training which is beneficial for them and they received their certificates after. Over the weekend supervisors, team leaders and key staff from different departments have undergone two days Leadership training and have successfully completed both modules. The training was designed to assist in the development of young leaders to master and embrace leadership skills and techniques required to motivate and influence staff withing the organization and making thought out decisions, focus and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. Effective Document Management plays a vital role in businesses today. With the evolving technology influence, utilizing the right tools enhances team collaboration and increase productivity within any organization. On Saturday 1st of March, saw EFM Lae managers participated in a refresher training session on Microsoft’s SharePoint. The training session was successfully facilitated and delivered by our ICT in-house trainers Jacobeth Pokei and Bella Redi. The aim of the training session is to equip EFM employees to effectively navigate and manage the company’s document management system on the Intranet site. The session, covers a brief introduction to SharePoint and its components, overview of the intranet site structures, site navigation, site content management, site document management and hands on activities for managers.
