So great to catch up with LiquidGold Africa Pty at ChangeNOW in Paris! 🥊 Seven years ago, we met Orion, the founder of LiquidGold, during the Global Final of Get in the Ring in Cascais. Back then, Liquid Gold was just starting their journey — turning waste streams like urine into valuable resources, helping to redefine the sanitation industry - but they impressed us and the jury, leaving home with the title of Lightweight winners. Today at the ChangeNow Summit in Paris, we caught up again. And it’s amazing to see how far LiquidGold has come: a full product line, strong growth to new markets, and still the same mission-driven energy to fix the future. 👏 Moments like this remind us that it’s a long journey to build impact ventures at scale thats why it’s so important to build strong ecosystems that can support the founders along the way. Proud at Max Dekker! Over the past months I have seen him develop, organize tastings, search for a name, work on designs, test the best cans, do more tastings, validate the idea in the market, drive for 2 hours to taste the best stevia for 5 minutes and drive back, launch the website, organize the logistics, pivot and run a marathon on the side. That's what we call #boostmode #foundermode How great is it to then see his first batch of 3 pallets come in today, all ready for sales! Looking forward to what is yet to come! At Unknown Campus, we support founders to fix the future by also offering targeted support programs. #Waste2Plate is such a programme that focuses on food startups that upcycle side streams from food production into nutritious and sustainable products.
