Behind the beans ✨ Meet Ricky van Beers, our technical sales manager specialized in active nutrition. Ricky has a wide background in food and process technology. During his studies at the HAS, he specialized in dairy - and process technology and did his introductory internship at Cosun R&D. 🔬🌱 After his studies, Ricky joined Cosun Beet Company. Two years later, he took a six-month trip through South America. Staying in touch with former colleagues, he eventually became a technical sales manager at Cosun Protein. Ricky's specialty is seeing opportunities in the market and translating customer needs into valuable ideas together with the application team. 💡 As technical sales manager, he is the bridge between our team and the customer, using his technical knowledge to reach solutions together. What Ricky enjoys most about his job? Sitting around the table with customers, listening to their ideas and seeing whether we as Cosun Protein can do something for them. Elke dag stellen wij onszelf de vraag: hoe kunnen we het beter doen voor de wereld om ons heen? Dat vragen niet alleen wij ons af, maar ook veel leveranciers en producenten die dit willen bereiken met plantaardige en hybride oplossingen. Een aantal van hen nodigden we uit voor een kennis- en inspiratie-event voor onze collega's. Het doel? Elkaar inspireren. Met elkaar in gesprek gaan. En vooral kijken hoe we ons assortiment samen kunnen verrijken met plantaardige ingrediënten, waarbij smaak en betaalbaarheid voorop staan. Tessa Van der Geer trapte de sessie af met haar eigen inspiratiereis naar een meer plantaardig eetpatroon. Van knapperige kaasballetjes gemaakt van aardappelen tot saucijzenbroodjes die deels uit groenten bestaan: we hebben kennisgemaakt met heel veel lekkere vernieuwingen waarmee we onze doelstellingen voor de eiwittransitie willen halen. Bedankt aan alle leveranciers en producenten, in het bijzonder Thijs Bosch van Royal Cosun en Sander Krijnen van Van Loon Group, Tessa Van der Geer, initiatiefnemer Nico Wormgoor, collega's en iedereen die dit event mogelijk heeft gemaakt.
