Did you know that our name ‘Duynie’ is a blend of the surnames of our founders, 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝘂𝘆𝗻 and 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽? Back in 1968, in the Dutch village of Alphen aan den Rijn, Arie and Jan started delivering co-products to local farmers with a single truck. With a fair and ethical approach to business they laid the foundation for what Duynie has grown into: a European market leader in the valorisation of co-products coming from the food-, beverage and biofuel industry. Over time, we’ve been honoured to see more and more partners embrace our philosophy of processing and upcycling co-products. Our passion and entrepreneurship drives us to keep moving forward. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲! We announce that we have begun lifting the first materials into the building for the Brewers' Spent Grain separation installation, project LIFE FWFB (Feed the World, Fuel the Brewery) (LIFE Programme) with HEINEKEN France. Over the past two weeks, the baghouse filter and the four protein silos have been successfully hoisted through the roof of the impressive 22-meter-high building where the separation installation is being installed. Project LIFE FWFB aims to set up a highly replicable circular business model, that gives two different uses for Brewers' Spent Grain. The project is based on an innovative separation technology, developed by Duynie. We create new value from sidestream starch by developing high-performance industrial adhesives that are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
