About us

Our goal is to create as much good as we can for every dollar we spend. We do that by tackling acute childhood malnutrition - through treatment programs in northeastern Nigeria, and through innovation designed to make treatment available to every child who needs it.

  • 🌟 New Research Alert: Addressing Relapse in Malnutrition Treatment 🌟 We’re committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge in the fight against pediatric malnutrition at Taimaka. We're thrilled to announce the launch of a new study focused on one of the most pressing questions in our field: How and when do children relapse after acute malnutrition treatment? Understanding the long-term impact of malnutrition treatment on whether children get malnutrition again is crucial to further enhancing the cost-effectiveness of our interventions. We're training a team of data collectors who will systematically follow a cohort of children discharged from our program and assess their malnutrition status. Check out our data collectors learning how to standardize anthropometrics measures like child weight and height ⬇️ This research will fill a significant gap in the existing knowledge base, ultimately guiding us towards an even more effective and sustainable solution to pediatric malnutrition. Stay tuned as we embark on this important journey! #Malnutrition #GlobalHealth #ChildHealth #Research #Impact #Nonprofit #Taimaka
