MCB Group is honoured to have been part of the first SolarX Accelerator Program in Mauritius, an initiative by Business Mauritius and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) which aims at empowering and supporting solar start-ups in Africa and the APAC region in scaling their clean energy solutions. Ziad Joomun and Ashutosh Beenessreesingh from MCB’s Power & Infrastructure desk delivered a presentation on the African power sector - with a strong focus on solar energy. Their presentation highlighted key trends in solar project development across Africa, shared insights from recent years, and offered perspectives on where the sector is heading. It was an inspiring exchange with passionate entrepreneurs shaping the future of clean energy on the continent. MCB reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and innovation in the energy space.
