#Throwback Currimjee is proud to have supported the SolarX Accelerator Programme, launched in Mauritius by Business Mauritius on April 8 and 9, in partnership with the International Solar Alliance. This inspiring two-day regional event brought together 35 startups from across Asia and the broader APAC region, all working on scalable and cost-effective solar and renewable energy solutions. We were delighted to see collaboration in action, with several of our Currimjee Group entities and colleagues — including TotalEnergies and Trampoline ltée, our incubator — actively engaged throughout the programme. Special thanks to Our Telecoms and Technology champion, Emtel, for hosting an exclusive visit and tour of its cutting-edge Data Centre in Arsenal for the 35 startups. Avinash Chettiar, Chief Technology Officer at Emtel, along with his team, delivered a comprehensive and insightful keynote presentation on the possibilities offered through Emtel’s services, and showcased the capabilities and high-end projects of the Emtel Technopolis.  These exchanges highlighted the power of mentorship, collaboration, and shared commitment in accelerating clean technologies and supporting the global shift toward a carbon-neutral economy. Driving meaningful change requires collective effort—and that’s exactly what the Responsible Business Summit - Mauritius set in motion. Held on 24–25 March at the Caudan Arts Centre, the event brought together over 300 participants from the private sector, public institutions, international organisations, and civil society to explore concrete pathways towards a more sustainable and resilient economy. Understanding climate change is no longer optional—it's a responsibility. Last week, seven of our team members took part in the Climate Fresk, a collaborative workshop designed to deepen understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change, and to inspire concrete action.   This training has enabled them to become facilitators of the Fresk, both within our organization and in Mauritius. And one of our levers is the Lean In Circle, born out of a vision in 2024 to bring women together on a platform where they can learn from one another, and acknowledge that despite facing unique challenges, they are all navigating their journeys successfully. In our latest video, two inspiring women from our Lean In Circle; Anousha Sathan, General Manager at Currimjee Informatics and Medha Rughoobur Jhowry, Head of Product at Emtel, share their journeys - from the purpose of the Lean in Circle to the challenges commonly faced, through the actions they are taking to drive meaningful change.
