Cette rencontre se déroulera en présence de plusieurs ministres et sera l’occasion de présenter les initiatives soutenues par l’Etat, ainsi que de permettre à des femmes de parler de leurs « success story » en matière d’IT ou digital. Les résultats d’une étude menée au Luxembourg au sujet des filles et des femmes dans l’informatique seront également présentés au public. L’événement se tiendra le 23 Avril 2025 à partir de 15h30 au Lycée des Arts et Métiers à Luxembourg-Ville. Il permettra de partager des expériences inspirantes, d’explorer les défis et les opportunités du secteur technologique pour les jeunes filles, et de discuter de l’importance de l’implication féminine dans les sujets d’étude et les métiers du numérique. 🥳 Yesterday, Minister Yuriko Backes presented the adapted National Action Plan for Equality between Women and Men to the press. The plan has 3 major priorities: 🔹 Promoting civil society and political engagement in equality 🔹 Promoting equality and diversity through education, etc. 🔹 Supporting the development of a society based on equality at all levels In total, these priorities include 6 goals, 55 measures and 109 actions. This is about choosing an approach that targets our society as a whole. That is why 16 ministries were also involved in its drafting.🤝 Our National LGBTIQ+ Action Plan will also be presented before the summer, as will the National Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence. 🇱🇺🌈⚧️ #LGBTIQ + symposium with an introduction by Yuriko Backes, a great exposé by Miltos Pavlou from European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, a presentation by our very own Romaine Boever on the previous plan and next steps, and 14 thematic ateliers where representatives from ministries, NGOs and civil society organisations participated. The conclusions of the ateliers will be taken into account when finalising the upcoming and updated National Action Plan on LGBTIQ+, which will be presented to the public in summer. D’Konklusioune vun den Atelieren wäerte ganz konkret den Nationalen LGBTIQ+ Aktiounsplang informéieren, deen nach virum Summer presentéiert gëtt. The conclusions of the workshops will very concretely inform the National LGBTIQ+ Action Plan, which will be presented before the summer. 🌟 Empowering #WomenInScience: A New Mentoring Pilot Programme🌟 🚀One week ago, the Women [& Girls] in Science #mentoring programme was launched for the first time. This programme aims to facilitate links between #women researchers and female Masters students at the University of Luxembourg. This initiative encourages aspiring women to pursue a career in research by providing them with mentors and role models, thus helping to bridge the #gendergap in research fields, especially in #STEM. 🤝The programme is run in collaboration with the ADVANCE mentoring programme.
