🚢 Naming Ceremony for Drillship ‘Tidal Action’ – Embarking on Deepwater Drilling We have taken a major step into the offshore energy market with the official naming of our next-generation drillship, Tidal Action. The vessel, based on our proprietary design, is equipped with advanced technology enabling drilling at depths of up to 12 kilometers in waters as deep as 3,600 meters. It features a dynamic positioning system and cutting-edge blowout preventers to ensure both operational efficiency and safety. The naming ceremony took place in the presence of key figures from across the global energy industry, including: • Philippe Levy, President of Offshore Business Unit, Hanwha Ocean • Renata Baruzzi, Director of Engineering, Technology & Innovation, Petrobras • Rodrigo Ribeiro, CEO of Constellation Oil Services • Clay Coan, CEO of Hanwha Drilling Renata Baruzzi, acting as the godmother of the vessel, officially named the ship Tidal Action. This milestone marks our full-scale entry into deepwater drilling operations, following the strategic launch of Hanwha Drilling in 2023 to independently operate its fleet. The Tidal Action drillship will be chartered by Brazil’s state-owned energy company Petrobras, through a long-term charter agreement secured by Hanwha Drilling’s partner, Constellation Oil Services. By expanding into operation (the “O” in EPCIO – Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Operation), we strengthen our position as a total offshore solution provider. 🇵🇱🤝 Hanwha Ocean Expands Strategic Collaboration in Poland for the #ORKA Submarine Project Hanwha Ocean is actively expanding its global defense partnerships to support the modernization of the Polish Navy through the #ORKA Project—a strategic initiative to procure three advanced submarines. On March 25–26, Hanwha Ocean’s delegation of 17 experts visited two major Polish shipyards—Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. (the first photo) and NAUTA Shiprepair Yard S.A. (the second photo)—located in Gdańsk and Gdynia. The visits aimed to strengthen cooperation in naval shipbuilding, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), and eco-friendly ship technologies. During discussions with local shipyard leadership, Hanwha Ocean explored opportunities for joint construction, technology transfer, and localization efforts. This aligns with our vision to become a Global Ocean Solution Provider by contributing not only to the #ORKA Project but also to Poland’s broader industrial and naval ecosystem. Remontowa, a leading European shipyard, is renowned for its expertise in MRO and commercial vessels, while Nauta, part of the PGZ Group, plays a key role in Poland’s naval defense industry and MRO market. Hanwha Ocean Delivers the world's FIRST 200th LNG Carrier 🚢 Industry-Leading Technology and Strong Production On February 20, Hanwha Ocean delivered the 200th LNG carrier, LEBRETHAH, to SK Shipping. Equipped with a low-pressure dual-fuel engine (ME-GA) and a reliquefaction system, LEBRETHAH significantly reduces emissions, making it an environmentally friendly vessel. Additionally, Hanwha Ocean’s smart ship solution, HS4, has been integrated to enhance operational efficiency. 🚀 Cutting Construction Time from 21 Years to Just 9 Years Since delivering its first LNG carrier in 1995, Hanwha Ocean has accelerated production through advanced shipbuilding technology and productivity innovations, constructing the last 100 vessels in just nine years—more than twice as fast as the first 100. 🌟Hanwha Ocean delivers H3306 Wind Maker to Cadeler one month ahead of schedule We are delighted to announce that the H3306 Wind Maker, was delivered to Cadeler on January 31, one month ahead of schedule. The Wind Maker is a Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) designed by GustoMSC and classified as an M-Class, capable of lifting up to 2,600 tons. It is set to commence its first operations at Changhua country offshore windfarm in Taiwan. Hanwha Ocean is continuously striving to develop the offshore product for renewables energy and is very proud to safely deliver the WTIV which will enhance the value of our offshore renewables energy for the future. With this early achievement of the delivery, we have also proven our strong competitiveness in WTIV construction and demonstrated our readiness to lead the renewable energy market. Our President Offshore Business Division, Philippe Levy, who was strategically appointed last year to strengthen Hanwha Ocean's position as a global ocean solution provider, expressed his gratitude.
