SINFONICA will design innovative tools for user engagement and co-creation to foster acceptance of CCAM solutions.
Chi siamo
SINFONICA, which stands for "Social INnovation to FOster iNclusIve cooperative, Connected and Automated mobility", is a Horizon Europe funded project that aims to develop functional, efficient, and innovative strategies, methods and tools to engage CCAM users, providers and other stakeholders (i.e. citizens, including vulnerable users, transport operators, public administrations, service providers, researchers, vehicle and technology suppliers) to collect, understand and structure in a manageable and exploitable way their needs, desires, and concerns related to CCAM. SINFONICA will co-create final decision support tools for designers and decision makers to enhance the CCAM seamless and sustainable deployment, to be inclusive and equitable for all citizens. Particular attention will be paid to gathering and understanding the needs, expectations, concerns and desires of the different categories of Vulnerable Road Users (elderly, immigrants, disabled, etc.), with the aim of making CCAM solutions more inclusive and accessible. SINFONICA brings together 18 partners from 6 European Countries. The project started in September 2022 and will run until August 2025.

Here is another SINFONICA Blog article 📝 🚀 Your answers can shape the future of #mobility! #Surveys are much more than a list of questions: they are powerful tools that help us design smarter, safer, and more inclusive Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (#CCAM) systems. In #SINFONICA, we rely on feedback road users, citizens and stakeholders to ensure that future mobility solutions meet the needs of everyone – no one left behind. 💬 Why are your answers so important? Because they help us understand real attitudes, social influences, and feelings of control, which are key to predicting and improving human behavior on the move. 📖 Discover more in our latest article written by Francesca Merlo from the SINFONICA Partner Politecnico di Torino: https://lnkd.in/d7NCH-XF Let’s build the future of mobility together – starting with your voice! 🌍✨ #sinfonicaproject #socialinnovation #connectedmobility #automatedmobility #community #urbanmobility #inclusiveness #engagement #userexperience #automatedvehicles #sharedmobility #publictransport #socialequity #its #cocreation #usercentric #userengagement #euprojects #horizoneurope #eufunded CCAM Association Connected Automated Driving in Europe ________________________________________________________ Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia | IRT SystemX | ISINNOVA - Research Innovation Sustainability - ISINNOVA - Ricerca Innovazione Sostenibilità | Politecnico di Torino | RE:LAB s.r.l. | Arriva Nederland | ERTICO - ITS Europe | ICOOR | e-trikala SA - Municipality of Trikala | Provincie Noord-Brabant | Technische Universität Dresden - Professur für Verkehrspsychologie an der TU Dresden / Chair of Traffic and Transportation Psychology | ICCS - NTUA / I-SENSEGroup/ICCS | Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg | West Midlands Combined Authority

Exciting News from HFES 2025 in Bologna! 🌟 We are happy to share that our poster titled "What drives people with mobility challenges to adopt CCAM services? A SEM approach" has been recognized as one of the top 3 posters at the conference! 🥳 In this contribution, @Tibor Petzoldt presented a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach using the EU sample collected for the SINFONICA Project. We examined the effects of various user characteristics—such as age, mobility impairment, digital savviness, and rural residence—along with the psychological factors attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norm, and trust on the intention to use Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) services. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers 🙌 of HFES 2025 for their exceptional work and for providing such a fantastic platform in such a nice location to share our research and insights. #HFES2025 #SINFONICAProject #HumanFactors #CCAM #inclusive #MobilityChallenges #TUDresden
