Societal acceptance of connected, cooperative and automated road mobility was high on the agenda of the 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 held from 𝟮𝟯-𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗸, 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 in the framework of the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union. How to actually measure 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠? What are the 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 of people to CCAM and to AI in vehicles? How to deal with 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴? Those were just some of the questions answered on the first day. The representatives of 𝟭𝟳 𝗘𝗨 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 met for the first time this year to better 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗨 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠 and to discuss 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. The meeting was organised in Gdańsk not by chance - it is the city where the first CCAM demonstration in Poland was organised back in 2019. At the occasion of this week's gathering, the Polish stakeholders presented to the international audience their national projects and initiatives. Very important was also 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 published at the beginning of March: what is currently happening in the CCAM field at the European level. Another highlight was the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 where all of the attendees shared their respective situations. The representatives of France and the CCAM Partnership also raised awareness about 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: the coalition of interest with the workshop on 27 June in Paris (https://lnkd.in/ezgTcA-i) and the call for expression of interest open till 1 June (https://lnkd.in/eq-E7W6J). Finally, the currently in definition, 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗨 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, were also addressed. A big thank you to the CCAM SRG Chair Tereza Cizkova, speakers, participants, and the great hosts led by Sławomir Lewandowski!

We also need to look ahead to where innovation is heading: 🔧 Software-defined vehicles 💡AI integration 🚘 Electronics-enabled vehicles These are critical to the competitiveness and sovereignty of Europe’s automotive industry, and #FP10 can help to transform these technical innovations into global leadership while preserving European values and inclusivity, provided there are adequate public-private collaboration and funding tools, like the 2Zero and #CCAM partnerships. Read our joint article with 2Zero, where we discuss the current state of European road transport research and what steps need to be taken to keep Europe at the forefront of excellence. #EUfundings #EUPartnerships #Collaboration
The EU's Automotive Action Plan aims to unleash innovation in Europe's car industry, and make the sector globally competitive again. Whether this succeeds will depend largely on the EU research and innovation ecosystem. CCAM and 2Zero set out how policymakers, industry and researchers can work together to drive an ambitious innovation agenda #partnercontent
