🔴 Si è conclusa con successo la missione di LuGRE, primo ricevitore Gnss a operare oltre l’orbita bassa, progettato per funzionare in orbita lunare e sulla superficie della Luna. 🌙 📍 LuGRE è stato sviluppato nel nostro paese da QASCOM, per conto dell’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, con la collaborazione della NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration e il supporto scientifico del Politecnico di Torino. 🏆 Il 3 marzo ha captato il primo segnale agganciando e tracciando 4 satelliti: 2 del sistema Gps e 2 di Galileo. #LuGRE is on the Moon! The first GPS G25 signal on L1 and L5 frequencies was received at 7:48 AM on March 3rd, and then LuGRE locked and tracked four satellites—two from GPS (G18, G25) and two from the Galileo system (E2, E34). This achievement enabled the first calculation of Position, Velocity, and Time (PVT) fixes on the lunar surface, utilizing signals from both the American #GPS and the European #Galileo systems. Congratulation to QASCOM for manufacturing such an amazing payload! We are looking forward to more data to process for science purposes! We are so glad to be part of this unique experience!
