This facility offers a structured pathway for these enterprises to scale their solutions in rural markets by addressing critical barriers like market access, affordability, and adoption. RAIIn is specifically designed to accelerate the commercialization of market-ready, climate-smart agritech products by helping them cross the ‘commercial valley of death.’ At the portfolio level, the program aims to drive 11,055 sales and generate INR 6 crore in revenue over three years. This will be achieved by making products more affordable for farmers through financing partnerships and by incentivizing channels to boost awareness, engagement, and adoption. As we step into the new financial year, we’re proud to share that our innovative financing solutions, developed with our partners, have enabled 106 women micro-entrepreneurs—many previously considered “unbankable”—to access business loans and grow their enterprises. Highlights from the article: 1. FLDG-backed loans, in partnership with Ashv Finance for Devidayal Solar Solutions Pvt. Ltd.'s solar-powered cooling units, benefited 362 micro-entrepreneurs in the fisheries sector — 44% of whom were women. 2. Peer-to-peer lending with Rang De supports women farmers adopting clean energy solutions with low-interest loans. These initiatives are helping women entrepreneurs access the credit they deserve—and proving that they are reliable, bankable, and key drivers of inclusive economic growth. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡: 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 Villgro and Accenture in India recently hosted a closed-door workshop with the support of Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs to explore how technology and innovation can transform waste management and create dignified livelihoods. The workshop highlighted the urgent need for tech-driven solutions to address inefficiencies in urban waste & wastewater management while ensuring that innovation improves, rather than displaces, livelihoods—prioritizing dignified work, fair wages, and safer conditions for waste workers. The event brought together 35+ stakeholders, including startups, investors, developers, corporates, and think tanks. Here are our key takeaways from the discussion: 1. Waste solutions exist but operate in silos, limiting their impact and scalability. Bridging the gaps is essential for real change. 2. Awareness and communication are as important as the innovation. Solutions must be visible to drive change. 3. Waste management must be seen as a space for innovation and opportunity, not just ‘dirty work.’ It’s time to recognize its dignity and potential. Now, it's time to turn these ideas into action. Stay tuned for more updates. #AccentureinIndia #WasteManagement #SustainableLiving Aditi Jain, Aparna Narayanan, Rini Dutta, Srinivas Ramanujam, Ananth Aravamudan, Vibha Tilwalli Sharma, CA, CFA, Pratim Raha, Prashanth Varanasi, Sucharita Kamath (She/Her), Ananya Saini, Vineetha Venugopal, Satish Kumar, Manisha Bhattacharya, Aji Augustine, Keerthana Sheshadri, Anubhuti Agarwal Ashraya Hastha Trust C40 Cities BORDA South Asia LVBL Accelerator Global Business Inroads (GBI) Climate KIC Upaya Social Ventures GDI
