India Health Fund was proud to be part of the India Innovation TB Summit 2025 on 18 & 19 March 2025 in Delhi, a crucial platform that brought together TB experts, innovators, academicians, funders, implementation partners, and program personnel, all united by a shared vision to end #TB through innovation. Our CEO, Mr. Madhav Joshi, participated in the Roundtable on “Commitment to Innovate towards Ending TB”, alongside esteemed panelists Dr. V.K. Paul (NITI Aayog), Dr. Rajiv Bahl (Secretary DHR & DG-ICMR), Dr. Roderico Ofrin (World Health Organization), Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi (DCGI), Dr. Dinesh Arora (ADB), and Dr. Trevor Mundel (Gates Foundation). Moderated by Dr. Nivedita Gupta (Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the panel underscored India's collective commitment to advancing TB innovation. Mr. Madhav Joshi spoke about India Health Fund’s role in fostering transformative innovations in TB screening, diagnostics, and management. He also introduced IHF’s TB funding call, since launched on 24 March, to support strengthening TB screening and diagnostics and digital health solutions for high-risk and vulnerable populations, and solutions focused on unaddressed areas within TB including latent, subclinical, and incipient TB. Senior Portfolio Manager Ms. Archita Chaudhary, CFA joined the Roundtable on “From Bench to Programmatic Scale”, alongside Dr. Chandrashekar Ranga (Joint DCGI), Mr. Raghu Dharmaraju (ARTPARK), Mr. Sandeep Juneja (TB Alliance), and Dr. Kavita Rajshekar (DHR-ICMR). Moderated by Dr. Leyanna George, this discussion delved into the challenges of scaling lab research into impactful, real-world solutions. Ms. Archita highlighted the barriers to translating research into viable, scalable TB innovations, while other panelists shared insights from their experiences and ongoing efforts to support innovators in overcoming these challenges.
