Last week marked a significant milestone for Cork, Cork ETB, and local industries, with substantial commitments and investments from local and Government bodies. SOLAS and Enterprise Ireland have partnered in a strategic initiative to expand access to upskilling programs aimed at boosting growth and competitiveness among small, medium, and micro-enterprises in Ireland. This partnership reinforces Cork ETB’s commitment to industry collaboration. Building on this momentum, Minister O’Donovan approved the next phase of the FET College of the Future initiative at Cork College of FET, setting the stage for a world-class learning environment for students, staff, and the broader community. Additional funding from SOLAS has also enabled Cork College of FET to create a new healthcare simulation suite at the Morrison’s Island Campus, addressing the growing demand for healthcare courses in the Cork area. With strategic investments like these, Cork College of FET is well-positioned to meet the needs of the community and support high-demand sectors. The future is bright!
