This week, Transdev conducted a comprehensive emergency crisis exercise in collaboration with An Garda Síochána, Dublin Fire Brigade, the National Ambulance Service, the HSE, TII, Irish Rail, and other key observers at the The Wayfinding Centre Centre in Glasnevin. The exercise simulated incidents in the city centre on the Irish Rail and Luas networks and examined its wider impact on transport operations, and the city. This provided an opportunity to test our crisis management plan and evaluate the effectiveness of an interagency response in managing public concern, misinformation, and operational challenges. "Fail to prepare, prepare to fail" was a central theme throughout the Luas exercise, reinforcing the importance of readiness and collaboration in crisis situations. Transdev extends its sincere appreciation to An Garda Síochána, Irish Rail and all observers for their participation. TDLR would also like to thank our facilitator, John Brophy from Reidy Brophy, and all stakeholders who contributed to the scenario. Míle Buíochas. Another Win for Transdev Transdev Dublin Light Rail is delighted to announce that we are the proud winners of a National Diversity and Inclusion Awards (NDIA) award in the LGBTQIA+ Inclusion category. The NDIA ceremony took place on the 7th of February, with Transdev Ireland in attendance. TDLR have been recognised for our exceptional efforts over the past year in establishing and nurturing a supportive employee resource group for LGBTQIA+ staff and allies. ‘The Proud Society’, founded by a small group of TDLR employees, has grown substantially and has become a driving force for inclusion within Transdev. Currently, we have 19 staff involved. This society has played a pivotal role in advancing education initiatives, organising social events, hosting monthly meetings, and marching in our first Pride parade in 2024. It has also provided vital support and resources to employees seeking advice while contributing significantly to the implementation of the Gender Transition Policy. Through these initiatives, the Proud Society has created a welcoming, safe, and empowering environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals, demonstrating a strong commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion and well-being in the workplace. Commenting on the Proud Society’s National award win, Transdev Ireland Managing Director, Ben Dwars said, “We are a company that is successful because of our people. Part of our culture and DNA is that in driving performance for our clients, we first start with backing our people. I want to congratulate our Proud Society founders and members on their National recognition. We are all very proud of you.” #inclusion #diversity #transport #LGBTQIA Ben Dwars Dave Rooney Paul Balmer Kevin Voelkin Dervla Brophy Alan McCrohan Barry Scully Niamh Mcloughlin Holly Jones

Au Revoir Storm Éowyn Transdev want to take a moment to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of all Luas staff in preparing for Storm Éowyn, as well as the diligent recovery work that followed. It was truly remarkable to see the dedication and hard work that went into safely shutting down the Luas network to protect it from storm damage. Equally impressive was the behind-the-scenes teamwork that restored full line service by Friday afternoon! This post is simply to say thank you: To all our employees for their incredible commitment, your hard work keeps the Luas network safe, and our communities connected. A special thanks to TII, NTA, and our fellow transport colleagues at Dublin Bus, Irish Rail, Go-Ahead, and Bus Éireann for their continued support.
