Project Update | Smurfit Westrock Office Expansion The sun was out in force during a site visit by one of project managers earlier this month. Works commenced on the Smurfit Westrock office expansion project early this year and are due to be completed in Q1 2026. The office expansion project designed by Henry J Lyons Architects will provide 1600m2 of additional office space. Project Completion!   Last month 258 new homes were completed by John Sisk & Son Ltd for Bartra Capital. KSNPM acting as Employer’s Representative were delighted to be part of project team in delivering these much-needed homes for the North Dublin suburb of Belmayne. The project which received LEED Gold and Wired Score accreditation consists of 6 residential blocks, a state-of-the-art gym and vibrant communal areas. Earlier this week, KSN Project Management Associate Director Sean Farrell and Project Manager Fiachra Marron attended the Irish Home Builders Association Housing Building Summit 2025 in sunny Croke Park along with circa 500 other delegates. The day was great array of panel discussions on a number of key topics, highlighting the positives that are arising, opportunities available as well as delving into the various issues facing the Home Building sector. Proposed solutions were discussed including some interesting presentations on different typologies for medium density low-rise housing . The variety within the panels with input from senior personnel from the Public and Private bodies as well as representative from Government Departments provided insight to the perspectives of each and their outlook on the next steps. The participation of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Mr James Brown TD provided insight on the Governments short and long terms goals, objectives, and support strategies, with some coming into effect soon such as the announcement that the Government has approved the Revised National Planning Framework (NFP). #KSNPM #ProjectManagement #IHBA #HousingBuildingSummit #CrokePark

KSNPM | Team Building Day Out at Barretstown Last week, a few of the KSN Project Management team had the pleasure of visiting Barretstown, where we met with their dedicated staff, learned about the incredible impact of their work, and took part in tree planting ceremony.   Barretstown is the leading provider of therapeutic camps and programmes for children and families affected by cancer and other serious illnesses.   In 2025, Barretstown is set to welcome over 27,000 campers through a range of outreach and residential initiatives designed to help young people rebuild their confidence and emotional wellbeing following serious illness.   KSNPM is proud to continue supporting Barretstown and the amazing work they do. Life at KSNPM | Guest Lecture at Queen's University Belfast!   Recently, KSN Project Management Associate Director Sean Farrell and Senior Project Manager James Doggart had the privilege of providing a guest lecture on “Importance of Cost Planning and Control for Project Managers and The Use of Emerging Technologies for Managing Costs on Construction Projects” to Construction Project Management Masters students.   At KSNPM we believe that providing our insights on industry practices will help to better equip the next generation of Construction Project Managers. It was an absolute pleasure to engage with the students and we were truly impressed by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students. Life at KSNPM | Guest Lecture at South East Technological University!   Recently, KSN Project Management Senior Quantity Surveyor Conor Harris and Project Manager Pete Somers had the privilege of visiting the South East Technological University in Waterford to share insights on the critical topic of innovative technology by discussing and demonstrating a Matterport 3D scanner with fourth year Construction Management, Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering students.   At KSNPM, we believe that innovating and striving for better is a key to success within the industry. It was an absolute pleasure to engage with the students and faculty of SETU to discuss strategies, challenges, and best practices in this ever-evolving field.
