Accelerating Ireland's Startup Ecosystem

About us

Dogpatch Labs is a startup and innovation hub located in the historic chq Building and in the heart of Dublin’s Digital Docklands. We foster entrepreneurship for startups, facilitate technology innovation for companies of all sizes and nurture transformative social enterprises. Our mission is to accelerate the development of Ireland’s startup and innovation ecosystem, with space, community, events, and programmes to help entrepreneurial talent succeed. Listed as Crunchbase ‘top 10 incubators around the world you need to know’, we’re home to over 85 startups and over 400 members from 30 countries. Our alumni include many of Ireland’s fastest growing tech companies including tech unicorn Intercom. We run Ireland’s national startup accelerator programme NDRC in collaboration with regional hubs Republic of Work, RDI Hub and Portershed. This includes an equity based accelerator (€100k investment), pre-accelerators and ecosystem building activities. Dogpatch Labs has a corporate innovation arm that helps large organisations with ‘work with’ or ‘work like’ startups. Partners include Ireland's national energy body (ESB), a leading European bank (RBS / Ulster Bank), a global FMCG (Unilever), global agricultural company (Alltech) and the 3rd largest re-insurance company in the world (Hannover Re). We manage Ireland’s largest monthly startup ecosystem event, First Fridays, delivered across the island by our partner hubs in the Irish Tech Hub Network in partnership with Google, Salesforce, Microsoft, Hubspot and Logitech. As part of our focus to create a better policy environment for startups Dogpatch created and spun-out ‘ScaleIreland’ as an independent voice for startups. Acknowledged as a world-class entrepreneurial hub catalysing the ecosystem in Ireland, Dogpatch Labs was awarded the Google for Entrepreneurs Global Citizenship Award in September 2017.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Dogpatch Labs has been recognised in the Top 20 of Europe's Leading Start-up Hubs 2025 list and ranked number 1 in Ireland! Out of 150 start-up hubs across 38 European countries, the ranking was based on alumni success, expert evaluations, and overall track record. (Published by Financial Times, Sifted and Statista). A massive THANK YOU to all the founders and alumni members who took part in the survey. Your insightful feedback has played a pivotal role in highlighting our efforts and the results we've achieved together. We also want to extend our gratitude to all of our ecosystem partners. Your support and collaboration have been instrumental in creating an environment where startups can truly thrive. This week, we kicked off Core Phase 1 of the 2050 Accelerator — and the startups in our 2025 cohort hit the ground running. Over five packed days at Dogpatch Labs, these founders didn’t just talk innovation — they built momentum. Here's a glimpse at what went down: - Pilot alignment sessions with champions from ESB, Kerry Dairy Ireland, and Coillte, exploring real-world applications of breakthrough solutions. - Deep dives with internal experts, unpacking the complexity behind each partner challenge. - A raw fireside chat with our Entrepreneur in Residence hugh reynolds, who reminded us to: “Step back and check your assumptions. Make sure you have a deep understanding of your customer.” - A standout legal session with the brilliant Majella Crennan, making legal strategy not just digestible, but actually enjoyable. - Fresh perspectives on fundraising in the EU vs the US from our own Lizzy Hayashida. - And a powerful session on VC strategy with Jamie Rowles of Regeneration.VC, helping guide funding journeys with clarity and purpose. Through these collaborative conversations, startups are now shaping pilot projects that can drive real measurable change. As Etienne Louvet from IONA put it: “Without the Accelerator, it might have taken a year to build these relationships. Instead, we were plugged into meaningful conversations within weeks. That kind of speed and access can make or break a startup’s ability to scale.” We're proud to be creating those connections and can’t wait to welcome the cohort back in May for Core Phase 2. Connecting ElevenLabs, the people behind the world's first ultra-realistic text-to-speech model, which recently closed a $180M Series C at a $3.3bn valuation, with the Irish tech ecosystem last night at 'Future of AI Agents'. What did you miss? Live demos of ElevenLabs tech in action, product demos from Irish founders Conor Moules of Barespace.io and Shane Garry of Learn Lingo and how they’re leveraging voice AI in their startups, plus an exclusive fireside with ElevenLabs GTM Europe Stan Massueras, AI expert and Jentic co-founder Sean Blanchfield, and founder Shane Garry. With the event oversubscribed, we know not everyone could make it. Here’s our take: * Voice is a major unlock for new startups * All startups can build super fast using voice technology * Every demo was built in less than 2 weeks, with 2 of them built in less than 24 hours—so why can't your startup? Great to welcome Stan, and the ElevenLabs team to Dogpatch Labs, and get you connected with Ireland’s top builders. Are you building in the voice, audio, or language AI space? Get involved in the conversation below. Follow us for first access to future tech events like these. Gabriel Lopez | Jonathan Chemouny | Marissa Loren | Menno Axt

Who doesn't love the David versus Goliath story? Today’s funding announcement of Dogpatch Labs member Duneolas, which raised €1.4 million in seed investment, illustrates the agility of a startup versus the industry leader. Duneolas’ platform is developed with direct input from General Practitioners (GPs) around Ireland, creating a user-first software that is flexible to GPs needs in real-time, and is now backed by a majority-GP group of angel investors. Competing against Clanwilliam—Ireland’s main supplier of electronic patient record software—Duneolas chief exec and co-founder Tony Ryan highlights how his startup uses AI and ML as a competitive advantage: “...designed from the ground up, it enable clinicians to get more from the mountains of data they collect and generate every day.” Keep reading Tony’s story on how he’s improving healthcare in Ireland: https://lnkd.in/eBwNgzmT Interested in scaling your startup in Dogpatch Labs?
