We’re proud to share that Compass Ireland has been reaccredited with the KeepWell Mark 🫶 This achievement reflects the consistent, focused work happening across the business to support the wellbeing of our people. The assessment criteria covered a broad range of areas including leadership, mental health, inclusion, safety, nutrition and talent development. The KeepWell process looks closely at how these practices are embedded into daily working life. Now that the dust has settled on the 2025 Irish Trade Food Connect Forum, we want to thank Edward Fagan, Head of Commercial at Compass Ireland, for lifting the lid on how local producers can gain valuable traction in the food service space. We need more women in the culinary industry 👩🍳 To celebrate this year's International Women's Day, we channelled the conversation towards one of the industry's biggest challenges: attracting more women to the culinary sector and ensuring they have the right support to move into leadership positions. Last Friday, we sat down for lunch with some of the brilliant female chefs in our business, along with Deirdre O’Neill, Shay Kendrick, Correna McMullan, Yvonne Mullally, and Kathleen O’Connor, who leads our Women in Food Network. It was an open and honest discussion about what’s needed: better support and training, stronger apprenticeship pathways, more awareness of culinary careers in schools and colleges, and the power of visible female chef ambassadors.
