Planting Trees on Mount Salak’s Slopes with Sumitomo Electric Group Indonesia!😍🙌🌱 Although Mount Salak’s slopes appear green, many areas lack tree cover, making them prone to erosion, landslides, and flooding. To help local communities address this, Trees4Trees partnered with Sumitomo Electric Group Indonesia and Sumi Indo Kabel to plant trees as part of their corporate sustainability program. We have recently deployed river stream observation stations in the Citarum Watershed! 🙌 As part of our collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional RI (BRIN RI) to measure the impact of tree planting in the Citarum watershed, we recently established river stream observation stations to support impact assessment. These stations have been installed in micro-watersheds across four villages in Bandung Regency: Margamekar, Mekarsari, Sukajadi, and Mekarwangi. Equipped with sensors and instruments, the stations monitor water quality, dissolved solids, pH levels, temperature, river discharge, and sedimentation rates.
