  • We are delighted to be named as "Building Contractor of the Year" in 2025 CICES Awards 🎖️ for the "Main Contract Works for the Facilities Development Project for HKSI". In this project, we utilized the advanced technologies in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) with pre-installation of finishes and E&M equipment in the factory. We achieved over 90% pre-fabrication prior to the delivery of MiC units to the site. We also adopted BIM 3D simulation to identify potential conflicts and visualize the entire logistics. By simulating the installation sequence, we were able to formulate comprehensive lifting strategy that ensured safe and effective placement of MiC units. One of the key challenges is the construction of a large span steel space truss measuring 37.3m by 36.6m. This structure required careful engineering and execution to ensure its stability and functionality. Temporary shoring towers were provided as essential support during the installation phase. These towers were instrumental in ensuring the stability of the truss members as they were lifted into position. These additional temporary supports also optimized the construction safety and minimized the risk of structural failure during installation. Please join us to congratulate 🎉 the project team for their dedication and devotion to the project delivery in a safe and effective manner. • Our site team of Long Bin Site Formation Phase 2 Project (CV/2022/07) welcomed our visitors from HKIE Geotechnical Division and HKIE Civil Division on 22 Feb 2025. The project includes the construction of a Public Transport Interchange (PTI) with charging facilities for electric vehicles, construction of bored pile wall, RC retaining wall, noise barrier, land decontamination and ancillary works such as drainage, sewerage, waterworks and landscaping. We brought the participants up to the roof of the iconic PTI and had a closer look on the special architectural features and colour pattern which replicates the unique greenery environment in Yuen Long. We also shared the challenges encountered in construction within difficult geological conditions and the complex interface issues related to the nearby projects and how we found out solutions by utilizing the tools in NEC Contracts®. • Tsui Ping River facilities along King Yip Street were open to public on 12/12/2024. An opening ceremony was held on that day with guests from various public organizations including the LegCo , Development Bureau, the project proponent Drainage Services Department and the design consultant AtkinsRéalis. In 2012, the Development Bureau proposed the Energizing Kowloon East Conceptual Master Plan and put forward the concept of transforming the King Yip Street nullah in Kwun Tong into the Tsui Ping River. Without compromising its stormwater drainage function and capacity, the Revitalization of Tsui Ping River project has adopted the concept of "River in the City" to revitalize the previous King Yip Street nullah, which was mainly used for flood prevention. The revitalized Tsui Ping River consists of six landscape decks and seven pedestrian walkways to strengthen the connectivity with the surrounding areas. There is also an intelligent water gate which smartly adjusts its rise and fall according to the weather forecast. This helps managing the water level of the river and maintain maximum drainage capacity. There are also ecological installations including bird perches, rock pools, tidal pools and ecological walls to create favorable conditions for the river ecosystem and attract more natural species to inhabit the river. We are proud of delivering this prestigious project successfully with our joint venture partner #Richwell Civil Engineering Limited. This is the second river revitalization project delivered by Build King after Kai Tak River, which was completed in 2018. #SustainableDevelopment #RiverintheCity #LucidWatersAndLushMountainsAreInvaluableAssets (Photo source: press release and social media of HKSAR Government)
