After an intense and successful 2024 season, skipper Aurelien Ducroz's next season is back on track, with the CIC MED Channel race starting in Marseille on April 27, as his first of 2025 with Jonathan Chodkiewiez, his co-skipper. ⛵ Together they have been preparing the boat sponsored by the CROSSCALL team and Finergreen for the season, and particularly for this first race that will mark their return to competition. Their objective? Preparing as well as possible for the "Transat Café L'Or - Normandie Le Havre" race, where they aim to compete with the Class40 Elite at the end of the year... In the meantime, the CIC MED Channel race, an extremely demanding 1,000-mile course, will take the skippers on a week-long sprint amidst the islands of France’s Var region, towards Calvi in Corsica, along the east coast of Sardinia and around the island of Mallorca, before returning to Marseille. 🍀Aurélien, we wish you the best of luck for this new high-sea adventure and we cannot wait to see you on the starting line on the 27th! Finergreen is pleased to have advised Voltalia on the sale of Paddocksolar PV project in Bockingfold, Kent, United Kingdom. The sale and purchase agreement was signed and closed on December 16, 2024. Construction is now underway on this sizeable utility-scale solar farm, which is set to begin commercial operations in 2026. Finergreen is pleased to share that we acted as exclusive financial advisor to Genia Solar Energy and Solar Ventures to reach a strategic investment agreement with Saeta Yield, a subsidiary of Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), for the construction and commissioning of a 234MW solar PV project in Spain. The project, “Valle Solar”, is the largest approved solar PV project in Spain’s Valencia region with a capacity of 234MW and an ongoing development of a 259MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) hybridization. This agreement represents an additional step towards the construction of the plant which is expected to be operational in the first semester of 2027. In addition to be a strategic asset to contribute to Spain’s energy transition targets, the Valle Sollar project also stands out with initiatives supporting biodiversity and local communities being a clear example of integration between local wildlife protection and renewable energy production. Finergreen is glad to announce that we acted as exclusive financial advisor to Brawn Capital for the sale of a majority interest in a 50MW / 104MWh BESS project in Hokkaido, Japan, to HD Renewable Energy. The project, “Helios I”, is expected to reach completion and operational launch by end of 2025. The development was carried out by Manoa Energy, a renewable energy developer focused on Japan managed by Brawn Capital, whereas the construction and site maintenance will be undertaken by Hokkaido Electric.
