Tests for #Decontamination effectiveness assessment of Catalytic microparticles in relevant environment have been performed in #VVU (Vojenský výzkumný ústav, sp) facilities in Brno in March. COUNTERFOG® SDR devices were adapted to uniformly apply Catalytic microparticles developed by the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a fast and reliable decontamination of Chemical warfare agents (#CWA) and Toxic Industrial Chemicals (#TIC). Se han realizado medidas de la efectividad de micropartículas catalíticas para de descontaminación en entornos relevantes en las instalaciones de #VVU (Vojenský výzkumný ústav, sp) en Brno durante el mes de Marzo. Los dispositivos COUNTERFOG® SDR han sido adaptados para aplicar de forma uniforme micropartículas catalíticas desarrolladas en el Instituto de Química Inorgánica de la Academia de Ciencias Checa para una descontaminación rápida y fiable de agentes químicos de guerra y tóxicos de uso industrial. #CBRN #NRBQ #chemical

🌱 Kick-off meeting of CEN Workshop ‘Assessment of biosecurity in Farm to Fork chain🌱 On November 19, 2024, the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) and the HE-farm consortium will host an online session to present the path for standardization of biosecurity assessment methodologies developed in the HE-farm project. This event invites stakeholders to understand how they can engage in the process and contribute their expertise to shape effective and secure farm-to-fork biosecurity practices. 📅 The kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, 19 November 2024, from 10:00-13:00 CET as a web meeting. All dogs are special, but some also have very special skills - they assist search and rescue experts in finding people trapped under rubble, ultimately saving lives. 🐕🦺 Michonne is one of these brave canine heroes. She began her journey as a 1.5-year-old pup at the Spanish School Rescue and Detection with Dogs (ESDP). Susana, her handler, quickly recognised Michonne's unique qualities: "Michonne compensates her occasional lack of concentration in stressful situations with an excellent bond and an inexhaustible desire to work," she says. Beyond their physical search and rescue abilities, dogs like Michonne play another crucial role in the aftermath of an emergency: they provide mental comfort and a healthy distraction, helping civil protection teams cope with stress. "In the same way that dogs seek support in overwhelming situations, guides rely on their dogs, especially in situations of high emotional stress when being away from our families. They become an extension of the home we long for," adds Susana.
