The #EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025 will take place from 9 to 11 May, simultaneously in eight countries across Europe. 🌍 This European Commission initiative brings together innovators, researchers, and defence experts to co-develop solutions that enhance European and Ukrainian #defence capabilities. 🛡️ The selected local organisers for the May edition are: Arribes Enlightenment (Spain), Bayern Innovativ GmbH (Germany), Fondazione E. What can business leaders learn from the battlefield?   Quite a lot, as it turns out! Our Innovation Leaders Club members recently gathered at Tehnopol for a hands-on workshop “Leadership Principles from the Battlefield”, led by Priit Lilleväli from Combat Ready │ Leadership Development Company – a professional with exceptional experience in both civilian and military fields.   The military knows how to lead under pressure. Decisions made in seconds, constant change, high stakes – sounds familiar for innovation leaders, right?   During this intense and practical session, participants gained four powerful leadership tools: ➡️ Cover and move – balance personal goals with the shared mission. ➡️ Keep it simple – craft clear, actionable plans everyone can follow. ➡️ Prioritize and execute – continuously assess, refocus, and communicate. ➡️ Decentralized command – empower your team with clarity and trust.   More than just a training, it was a mindset shift – empowering leaders to take personal responsibility, encourage bold decisions, and foster innovation through clear communication and trust.   💬 In the coming weeks, participants will put these tools into practice in their own companies and return in April to share insights and support each other in peer mentoring groups.   👉 This is what it means to be part of the Innovation Leaders Club – a network of 72 companies, created by SEB Eesti and Tehnopol, that’s serious about innovation, collaboration, and growth.   Curious to join? On March 12, Tehnopol Startup Incubator’s film and multimedia accelerator IDA Hub hosted a panel discussion on the impact of AI on the film industry. 🎥🦾 The panel brought together global-minded experts: technology and visual solutions creator Kaspar Kallas, designer and innovation expert Markko Karu, and filmmaker and experimenter Mikk Rand. The discussion was moderated by Marko Russiver. During the engaging conversation, the panelists explored both the opportunities that technology brings and the darker sides of AI, as well as the emotional aspects of creativity – How does AI influence the creative process? What are the risks and what are the possibilities? And most importantly – how can creators make it work to their advantage? 🧐🚀 These questions were all answered in the panel and it was very exciting to listen to it on site.
