Fueling growth through ownership: Diána’s story at Civitta ✨ When Civitta merged with Design Terminal, Dana Kiss entered a new chapter full of international collaboration, fresh challenges, and growth. What started as a surprise, quickly became a journey of scaling impact while keeping her team’s unique spirit alive. Just three months in, she managed a 150-person presentation solo — a turning point that proved her potential. Later, leading Womenture, an international program for women entrepreneurs, allowed her to build something meaningful from the ground up. Her guiding principle? “Get things done, fast and well.” With focus and a solution-oriented mindset, Diána thrives on responsibility and loves helping globally minded founders grow. At Civitta, she’s found the perfect mix of a close-knit team and a structure that encourages ownership and development. 🌐 Read the full article on our website: https://lnkd.in/dJ3PByQc

  • Beyond the paperwork: How funding consultants drive real growth Many think of funding consultants as just application writers. But real advisory support goes far beyond that. A strong partnership in the funding process helps SMEs secure grants and strengthen their strategic capabilities and long-term innovation potential. Let’s take a look at what these partnerships should be built on: ✔ Creative problem-solving – EU funding is complex, but the right approach can uncover hidden opportunities. Thinking outside the box helps SMEs access diverse funding sources and maximize their chances of success. ✔ International Networks – Securing funding involves more than just the application. It relies on a collaborative approach. Strong partnerships across Europe increase the likelihood of funding success and position SMEs at the forefront of innovation. ✔ End-to-End Engagement – A good consultant stays involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, helping craft a funding strategy, preparing applications, and supporting implementation. This ensures funding isn’t just secured but also used effectively to drive real impact. Securing funding is just the beginning. The real value lies in how businesses leverage it: expanding their innovation potential, strengthening their market position, and building a foundation for sustainable growth. Entrepreneurship, Startups, Ecosystem, Corporate innovation | Associate Partner at CIVITTA | Business Angel

Forbes Slovensko just named me one of Slovakia's 10 Most Influential Startup Women. It’s an honor to be recognized, with my role as an ecosystem supporter, alongside startup founders and VCs. 🙏 I've been lucky to work alongside most of these amazing women who were selected and inspire me: ⭐ Blazena Ambroz Sedrovicova both a client and an advisor, bringing fresh perspectives and the right kind of challenges ⭐ Lucia Cerchlan co-founder at LUMUS Investment Collective , my beloved business angel community  ⭐ Darina Štyriaková I’ve been following her journey since the SASK bootcamp, and it’s been amazing to watch her grow ⭐ Miriama Hanout is a consistent "yes" when it comes to mentoring and jurying in our acceleration programs  ⭐ Kate Simkova Alumna of Startup Awards Slovakia, supporting it even financially 💙 Oh, and don’t miss her podcast on sales! ⭐ Michaela Šišková I appreciate how openly she shares her experiences — as a founder, a scientist, and as herself, even in our startup programs ⭐ Jana Escher once almost my client 😉, building Europe’s #1 from the bottom, speaks for itself 🙏 I’m grateful that throughout my (nearly two-decade 🚀) journey, I’ve had the chance to work with exceptional people who introduced me to — and guided me through — the world of startups and ecosystem support: Peter Kolesar, Michal Laco, Petra Lipnicka, Radovan Geist, Ivan Stefunko. They showed me that the real magic happens when supporters connect the dots, create opportunities, and bring people together. 🏆 Once again, congratulations to all the women who were selected — a well-deserved recognition of your work and contribution to the Slovak startup ecosystem.
