I dag er det Verdens Sundhedsdag. Det er en dag, hvor verden minder os om, at sundhed er den største værdi, vi har – noget vi skal beskytte og styrke sammen. Bevar Ukraine arbejder hver dag for at hjælpe ukrainere, der er ramt af krigen. Vi giver ikke kun nødhjælp – vi giver også varme, omsorg og håb. 🏥 Vi leverer medicinske senge til hospitaler i Ukraine, hvor behovet er størst. Det er ikke bare udstyr – det er en chance for liv, det er støtte til læger, det er omsorg for hver eneste patient. 📦 Siden starten på den fuldskala invasion har vi leveret medicinsk hjælp til mere end 500 sundhedsinstitutioner i hele Ukraine. 🧠 Vi gennemfører også psykologiske støtteprojekter for fordrevne, fordi psykisk smerte også har brug for heling. This is a group of our wonderful Ukrainian senior IDPs who attend art therapy sessions with our psychologist Dmukh Iuliia. Nowadays, many people use the buzzword art therapy to describe any creative lesson, especially group activities. However, some mistakenly perceive art therapy as merely engaging in creative work. While art itself has a positive impact on individuals, art therapy has several fundamental differences! Dmukh Iuliia explains: "Art therapy focuses on personal development and healing rather than improving artistic skills such as drawing or writing. Its goal is to help individuals harmonize their inner state, enhance self-understanding, and express themselves more effectively. There is no evaluation of a client’s work in terms of ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ ‘beautiful’ or ‘ugly,’ or ‘successful’ or ‘unsuccessful.’ Instead, art therapy emphasizes exploring the client’s emotions, thoughts, and experiences—both during the creative process and while reflecting on their finished work and interactions within the group. Art therapy is led by a qualified psychologist or specialist with the necessary knowledge and competencies to provide psychological support. The therapist carefully selects techniques based on the needs of the group and individual clients. Sessions alternate between creative exercises (using specific artistic techniques) and psychotherapy. The role of an art therapy group leader is to create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic space where clients can express themselves freely while receiving thoughtful guidance. One of the greatest advantages of art therapy is its universality—it has no age or other restrictions. Art therapy will not teach you how to dance, sing, or draw correctly—but it will help you connect with yourself on a deeper level". Vores kollega Roman Mykytenko har haft et møde med repræsentanter fra Rigshospitalet og Beskæftigelses- og Integrationsforvaltningen fra Københavns Kommune vedrørende det nuværende samarbejde i Medevac-projektet. Under mødet blev de udfordringer, der opstår ved at hjælpe de ukrainske sårede soldater, der er kommet til behandling i Danmark, diskuteret. Der blev blandt andet talt om behovet for at have ukrainsktalende tolke under medicinske konsultationer. Der blev også drøftet logistikken for transport af de sårede til Næstved for biometrisk identifikation. Vi takker vores partnere for samarbejdet og Bevar Ukraine for deres støtte. #BevarUkraine

Sammen med vores psykolog, Julia Dmukh fordybede deltagerne sig i en rolig atmosfære: først praktiserede de meditation, og derefter nød de at male med kaffe til behagelig musik.
