Project of the Month March: Kippenheimweiler 7.5 MWp 🇩🇪🌎🌱☀️   Another exciting Floating PV project is about to go into operation: The 7.5 MWp installation on the Waldmattensee in Kippenheimweiler, Germany. What makes this project so special? Let's take a closer look:   👉 Challenging terrain: With water depths of up to 80 metres and steep underwater slopes, the project required a highly durable underwater anchoring system - a true engineering achievement. The Waldmattensee is not only used for renewable energy generation, but also for swimming, fishing and ongoing gravel extraction. The floating system was designed to operate harmoniously alongside these multiple uses. 👉 A key highlight: The electricity generated by the floating PV system is used directly by VOGEL-BAU Gruppe Kippenheimweiler to support its active gravel operations and increase energy efficiency on site. The company aims to use a large proportion of the electricity for its own consumption, with any surplus being fed into the grid. In the future, the Lahr-based company plans to add electric trucks to its fleet - which could one day be charged directly from the lake's solar energy. KEY - The Energy Transition Expo Rimini week is over and we take stock. 🇮🇹🌎🌱☀️   It was a pleasure to be on the ground in Rimini as a real team and being responsive to our customers in the Italian market. Again, we enjoyed presenting the broad range of products and services offered by the Zimmermann PV-Steel Group.   💡 We have seen that the project base is growing substantially with Advanced Agri-PV. As before, we will take such market-specific requirements into account when further developing our substructure solution. In terms of product properties, we see long durability and ease of assembly as two main factors.   💡 The clear trend proves us right! Our 1-P tracker solution ZIM Track is perfectly suited to the requirements of project developers in Italy. Especially with the option of cardan joints, we create a high level of efficiency in the area coverage of complex topographies with the single-axis tracker. Thank you for the many positive responses.   🤝 We were glad taking time to talk to you, our customers, with whom we have already worked on a wide range of projects. Sometimes it was an in-depth technical exchange about our experiences in implementing projects - sometimes it was just a casual chat with a fresh drink together. Project of the Month February: Colli al Metauro 🇮🇹🌎🌱☀️   Colli is part of the impressive 28,5 MWp Project Pipeline that ZIMMERMANN delivered for Projects of the Stafil Group within one year.   Situated in the Region of March close to the Metauro River in Italy, the installed ZIM Track System will from now on built the basis for the sustainable energy production.   We are delighted to contribute to the energy transition in Italy with our ZIM Track System.
