  • Batteries are increasingly being integrated into our energy parks. #BESS technology enables us to store and balance the output of a park, providing significant advantages for both us as park owners and our off-takers. We are already developing BESS technology in our parks in Romania, Bulgaria, and other locations. And now we are thrilled to announce that Eurowind Energy in Portugal has been awarded a grant through the Fundo Ambiental, a program of public grants in Portugal, funded by the Ministério do Ambiente e Energia (Ministry of Environment and Energy). It is included in the Recuperar Portugal Recovery and Resilience Program implemented by the Portuguese Government for the project Network and Storage Flexibility. (Flexibilidade de Rede e Armazenamento) under the call AAC N.º 01/C21-i08/2024.  The project has been approved for funding for €1,937,791.00 to enhance grid flexibility and storage solutions, contributing to the ongoing development of sustainable energy infrastructure in Portugal. This storage system with 11MW/22MWh will be implemented at the Triana PV Plant in the municipality of Alenquer, the first power plant installed by Eurowind Energy in Portugal. "We are excited about the next steps in this journey and look forward to sharing further updates", said Country manager in Portugal, Joaquim Pinto

  • We are thrilled to announce that Eurowind Energy has successfully participated in its first state-owned land auction in Estonia. Estonia initiated state-owned land auctions to promote wind energy development, aiming to meet the country’s goal of matching domestic electricity consumption with #renewable sources by 2030. The Environmental Agency's study identified 21 state land areas as suitable for wind energy development, which were subsequently put up for auction. Eurowind Energy participated in eight of these auctions: Põhja-Sakala, Türi-Kose-Paide, Haljala-Kadrina, Järva-Põltsamaa, Lääneranna 2, Lääneranna 3, Türi-Põhja-Sakala, and Viljandi. On February 10th, Eurowind Energy was announced as the winner of the auction for Türi-Põhja-Sakala. The total planning area of Türi-Põhja-Sakala is approximately 1,400 hectares. We now continue with the planning process and conduct necessary studies to identify the full potential of the project. Successful bidders gained the right to use the land to develop, construct, and operate wind farms for 39 years. A big special thanks to Tõnn Tuvikene from our team, who introduced this opportunity and conducted a thorough analysis for the project. The contracts between Eurowind Energy and the State Forest Management Center were signed on March 25th, 2025. The #windpark is expected to be operational by June 2030 at the latest. Well done Raido Hallik and team 👏

  • Spring is approaching, and it's always a welcome change on our construction sites. With the arrival of the sun and rising temperatures, construction becomes easier and more comfortable for everyone working on site. The picture showcases our large photovoltaic (PV) project in Tenevo, Bulgaria, in collaboration with Solarpro Holding/Renalfa. We are on track to complete the project on time and within budget by Summer 2025.

  • Once again, we are preparing for the construction of a new #renewable energy project in Germany. Seeing our projects transformed into actual renewable energy sources will always be a pleasure! We are therefore excited that the preparatory measures for the construction of a new #wind turbine with an output of 4.26 MW and a hub height of 160 meters are underway in Uslar-Bollensen, Niedersachsen. After the preparatory work is completed, the large components will be delivered in mid-September 2025, and construction will begin about two weeks later. The commissioning is scheduled for the beginning of December 2025, so that the first kilowatt hour can be fed into the local grid as planned. First, the preparatory construction measures will be carried out, including the removal of the topsoil and the creation of permanent areas, such as the crane area, the permanent service access and the preparation of the foundation base for the foundation. Temporary areas will also be created, for example for the storage of the delivered rotor blades or for the auxiliary cranes required to set up the main crane. As soon as this work is completed, the civil engineering company will concentrate on creating the access road for the transport of the large components. We expect the foundation work to begin in May.

  • We are happy to share that three of our new #PV parks are now in full operation. At the end of February, the Portuguese team at Eurowind Energy successfully connected two photovoltaic (PV) plants to the grid: Monte Brito (9.3 MWp) in Castelo Branco and Quinta do Prazo (14.1 MWp) in Covilhã. These plants, composed of clusters of Small Production Units (UPPs), a project model being implemented in Portugal, will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 10,820 households in the central region of the country. Furthermore in Poland our Batkowo I and II 18MW PV farm has obtained a permit for use, has passed the tests with the Operator and has generated the first kWh. The farm was implemented on Zimmerman trackers.
