Ready, Set, Solar! Our Teiuș Park in Romania is Almost Here! 🌱 The park is completed and set for its official inauguration next week. With over 111,000 #photovoltaic modules and a total capacity of 60.2 MW, the park will generate enough clean energy to power about 25,000 Romanian homes each year. And this week the first kWh was produced. Indeed worth celebrating. And yes, the local sheep are already happily grazing among the solar panels, showing that renewable energy and agriculture can coexist. Adrian Dobre and his team will host the inauguration and we look forward to a well-deserved celebration.

It is important to us to find new ways to pass on knowledge and excitement about renewable energy production to the next generation. Among our initiatives is the participation in project “Vind i Skolen” (Wind in the School) where we provide live production data from several Danish energy parks alongside school assignments and guides to the teachers. The Assignments are of course done so they are appropriate for the relevant class levels. We are certain that it makes a difference for young students, when the assignments are with data from turbines and solar panels they are well acquainted with and see on a regular basis. Hopefully, the students will reach the same conclusion that we have done: “Renewables are never alternative” Read more and find live data from our energy parks in operation: https://vindiskolen.dk/

Citizens play a co-creative role in the development of our upcoming energy park in Give. Recently, we held a well-attended public meeting that kickstarted the next phase of our planning. In collaboration with Urland, there will now be a process where citizen groups will have influence on the project's design. This will be followed by the political process. The energy park itself will consist of 11 wind turbines, each with a height of 180 meters. Additionally, we plan to have areas with solar panels beneath the turbines. We are also investigating the possibility of establishing a biogas plant, which opens up opportunities for PTX technologies. The energy park is expected not only to strengthen the business community but also to make Give-Thyregod and the surrounding area more attractive to newcomers. In other words, it will be an innovative and sustainable area that meets future demands for green energy. Below you can see a visualization of Energi Park Give.

Global EPC Director, Morten Gaarde, recently visited our team in Italy, inspecting our new LEITWIND turbines on site.
This week’s destination was Sicily for inspection of an area planned for a 40 MWp PV project #EurowindEnergy. At the same time I inspected our three newly erected wind turbines from the Italian brand #Leitwind. It was interesting to see their technology in full scale. Thanks for your great work building these assets Paolo Galbiati Furthermore we visited one of our six operating wind turbines. I was expecting sun and a dry landscape, but to my surprise it was very rainy. We saw the challenges which can occur on a construction site with high content of clay and a hilly landscape. Next week’s destination is Wind Europe Copenhagen. See you there!

Batteries are increasingly being integrated into our energy parks. #BESS technology enables us to store and balance the output of a park, providing significant advantages for both us as park owners and our off-takers. We are already developing BESS technology in our parks in Romania, Bulgaria, and other locations. And now we are thrilled to announce that Eurowind Energy in Portugal has been awarded a grant through the Fundo Ambiental, a program of public grants in Portugal, funded by the Ministério do Ambiente e Energia (Ministry of Environment and Energy). It is included in the Recuperar Portugal Recovery and Resilience Program implemented by the Portuguese Government for the project Network and Storage Flexibility. (Flexibilidade de Rede e Armazenamento) under the call AAC N.º 01/C21-i08/2024. The project has been approved for funding for €1,937,791.00 to enhance grid flexibility and storage solutions, contributing to the ongoing development of sustainable energy infrastructure in Portugal. This storage system with 11MW/22MWh will be implemented at the Triana PV Plant in the municipality of Alenquer, the first power plant installed by Eurowind Energy in Portugal. "We are excited about the next steps in this journey and look forward to sharing further updates", said Country manager in Portugal, Joaquim Pinto

Eurowind Energy and Autoliv, a worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, have entered a 12 year Power Purchase Agreement in Romania. Autoliv aims to transition to 100% renewable energy sources for its electricity consumption. The new Virtual Power Purchase Agreement is an important step in reaching Autoliv’s climate targets. “The project marks a significant milestone in our journey towards decarbonization, reinforcing our position as a sustainability leader in the automotive industry. Through the initiative, we support our ability to supply customers seeking sustainable products and we take a significant step forward in achieving our climate targets for the European operations,”, says Magnus Jarlegren, President Autoliv Europe. For Eurowind Energy, the new agreement with Autoliv highlights that Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are not only a significant contributor to carbon reduction but also a crucial part of Eurowind Energy's core business in developing renewable energy parks around Europe. "PPAs are essential in developing new energy parks. Power Purchase Agreements with large, ambitious companies like Autoliv ensure the continuous development of new parks and a cleaner future for all of us," says Jesper Schaumburg-Düring, Commercial Director at Eurowind Energy.

We are thrilled to announce that Eurowind Energy has successfully participated in its first state-owned land auction in Estonia. Estonia initiated state-owned land auctions to promote wind energy development, aiming to meet the country’s goal of matching domestic electricity consumption with #renewable sources by 2030. The Environmental Agency's study identified 21 state land areas as suitable for wind energy development, which were subsequently put up for auction. Eurowind Energy participated in eight of these auctions: Põhja-Sakala, Türi-Kose-Paide, Haljala-Kadrina, Järva-Põltsamaa, Lääneranna 2, Lääneranna 3, Türi-Põhja-Sakala, and Viljandi. On February 10th, Eurowind Energy was announced as the winner of the auction for Türi-Põhja-Sakala. The total planning area of Türi-Põhja-Sakala is approximately 1,400 hectares. We now continue with the planning process and conduct necessary studies to identify the full potential of the project. Successful bidders gained the right to use the land to develop, construct, and operate wind farms for 39 years. A big special thanks to Tõnn Tuvikene from our team, who introduced this opportunity and conducted a thorough analysis for the project. The contracts between Eurowind Energy and the State Forest Management Center were signed on March 25th, 2025. The #windpark is expected to be operational by June 2030 at the latest. Well done Raido Hallik and team 👏

Spring is approaching, and it's always a welcome change on our construction sites. With the arrival of the sun and rising temperatures, construction becomes easier and more comfortable for everyone working on site. The picture showcases our large photovoltaic (PV) project in Tenevo, Bulgaria, in collaboration with Solarpro Holding/Renalfa. We are on track to complete the project on time and within budget by Summer 2025.
