    A working day for all senses: 'The Botanist' at our HQ✨ Yesterday, our Douglas HQ in Düsseldorf was transformed into a wellness oasis with 'The Botanist' from our DOUGLAS Collection. In a unique atmosphere, our employees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the new bodycare line. As well as experiencing the luxurious fragrances, our colleagues enjoyed a refreshing break from their desks with hand massages and calming moments. Why is this important?     𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 🌿 At the Handelsimmobilienkongress, Marcel Uphues, SVP Group Controlling & Real Estate at DOUGLAS Group, discussed today, among other things, the question of how an economically and ecologically sustainable expansion can be achieved. We have started to roll out so-called Green Leases and have thus reached an important milestone in the implementation of our sustainability strategy. In cooperation with some of our major landlords, ECE Group and KLEPIERRE, we have already agreed Green Leases for around 170 DOUGLAS and NOCIBE stores in Europe. We are also currently in intensive discussions with a number of other landlords with the aim of further expanding the initiative in the future. Green Leases incentivise landlords and tenants to manage and use properties more sustainably, as well as to rely on energy-efficient technologies and the use of renewable energies. Marcel Uphues, SVP Group Controlling & Real Estate, explains: “We are proud to have strong partners at our side who support our commitment to make our stores as sustainable as possible. Closely working together with our real estate partners is crucial to our efforts to promote a greener, more sustainable future, and we can only achieve this goal by sharing responsibility. With this milestone, we are setting a benchmark for the retail industry and the real estate environment." In addition to Green Leases, we are implementing further initiatives and activities in order to increase the sustainable use of our real estate. These include the Group-wide rollout of Smart Meters, which allow for an improved monitoring of energy consumption. We are committed to install the technology in a majority of our stores and offices by the end of the financial year 2024/25. We have also achieved major progress in transitioning to renewable energy sources: we already use green electricity in both stores and offices in 50% of our countries and plan to expand this initiative in the coming years.     Customer First Through Heatmapping 🗺️ Imagine walking into a store where every aisle feels intuitive – the products you’re most likely to want are front and center, and checkout is a breeze. With our Douglas in-store heatmapping pilot project, we are taking a significant step forward toward realizing our vision of the ideal customer experience.   While E-Com has access to vast amounts of data and can track customer behavior extensively, stationary retail has traditionally focused on sell-in and sell-out metrics. Through path analytics, we can now collect valuable in-store data that allows us to make better, data-driven decisions.   How does it work? Special sensors in the ceiling anonymously track where customers go, pause, interact, and engage. This data helps us understand how different areas of our stores contribute to purchase decisions, enabling us to optimize our store layout, product placement, POS marketing, and service flow to best meet our customers’ needs and preferences.   Starting this April, we begin to test improvements of the customer experience in selected stores in several international markets. We eagerly anticipate the first results and look forward to scaling the project to optimize the customer journey, making beauty shopping at DOUGLAS a truly intuitive experience.   A big thank you to Carolin Klinck, Eva Molsich, Maik Samuel, and Sophia Tabea Druffel for their dedicated work on this project and hands-on efforts in setting up everything for our testing.   #TeamDOUGLAS #RetailInnovation #CustomerExperience #Heatmapping

Starting earlier this year, Thais has been collaborating with various teams to ensure we deliver seamless and engaging experiences across our digital platforms. Her commitment to creating user-friendly and visually appealing designs for a unique customer and shopping experience, is inspiring. What attracted Thais to Douglas is our innovative approach to beauty and our reputation as the leading omnichannel premium beauty destination in Europe. With a solid background as a UI Designer with four years of experience in the field, she was particularly impressed by our great UX design team, offering great opportunities for collaboration and growth. Since joining, Thais has praised the smooth and well-structured onboarding process, highlighting the supportive team that made the transition even better. When asked what she loved most about working at DOUGLAS, she stated: “It’s the people, I love my team!
