At this year’s Watches & Wonders, we are launching three timepieces that represent Lange watchmaking artistry: The new MINUTE REPEATER PERPETUAL incorporates two of the most elaborate horological complications: it is the first wristwatch featuring a minute repeater, a perpetual calendar and the typical Lange outsize date. This sophisticated timepiece comes in a 950 platinum edition with a black enamel dial, limited to 50 pieces. We are also introducing the new 1815, afusion of functionality and unpretentious elegance with modified proportions. Available in 750 white or pink gold, the 1815 is one of the thinnest watches of our collection: it is equipped with a newly developed movement and boasts an increased power reserve of 72 hours. Finally, we present the sporty-elegant ODYSSEUS in a 750 honey-gold (HONEYGOLD®) case, complemented with a brown dial and honey-gold bracelet. Since 2023, the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Dresden) has been recognising outstanding companies in the region that demonstrate above-average training performance in dual vocational training. This year, the Chamber named A. Lange & Söhne "Training Company of the Year".   At the award ceremony yesterday, March 11th, 2025, A. Lange & Söhne was honoured by those responsible at the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the multifaceted commitment that the Glashütte manufacture shows to its current 48 trainees.   Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid emphasised the great responsibility to invest in the recruitment and training of top talent: "Since 1997, we have made it our mission to prepare dedicated young people for the profession and thus secure the next generation of skilled professionals. Since then, 263 young people have completed their training with us. Outstanding auction result for our DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition”. The one-of-a-kind timepiece, first presented at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace near London in August 2024, was auctioned by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo at the Geneva Watch Auction XX on 9 November 2024 for CHF 825,500 (EUR 877,919, incl. buyer’s premium). All proceeds from this sale will be directed to The King's Trust. The British youth charity, which operated under the name “The Prince’s Trust” until mid-October 2024, is dedicated to empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to recognise their potential and build a brighter future. Celebrating 30 years of the LANGE 1 with two new colour combinations. With its individual design, micromechanical engineering and artisanal finish, the LANGE 1 epitomizes the essence of A. Lange & Söhne. To commemorate its anniversary, we introduce two new versions of the LANGE 1 and the LITTLE LANGE 1: in platinum with a dial made of black onyx and in pink gold with a blue dial. The sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the manufacture movement. It offers impressive testimony of our watchmakers’ perseverance and expertise in their pursuit of perfecting even the tiniest detail by assembling it twice and lavishly decorating every part. Since 2011, we have been presenting our HANDWERKSKUNST models, which take the finishing techniques for cases, movements and dials to the next level.   One such technique is enamelling. The creation of a radiant enamel dial, which can be found in our LANGE 1 TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST, is a meticulous process, requiring several days during which time the various stages in the manufacturing sequence often have to be repeated multiple times. Another intricate technique, found on models like the DATOGRAPH HANDWERKSKUNST or the 1815 TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST, is tremblage engraving. This technique, using a specially crafted lining burin, creates a captivating three-dimensional texture on the dial, with subtle light reflections dancing across its surface. In addition, our HANDWERKSKUNST timepieces, such as the CABARET TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST, are distinguished by intricate free-hand engravings. These engravings can take hours or even days to complete, highlighting the artistry, dexterity, and above all, the perseverance of our engravers.
