  • ‘Deep breaths, in and out’ is a familiar mantra that many use to get through tough moments during the day. But what happens when those deep breaths don’t come easily? 🌬️🌍 Allergic diseases like asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema affect 34% of the global population. These conditions disproportionately impact vulnerable populations through exposure to higher levels of air pollution and poor housing conditions. Through our Research Initiative for Self-Care Equity (RISE), we’ve uncovered many layers behind allergic diseases. These insights allow us to address health inequalities, and design self-care solutions to enhance outcomes for those who need it most. Policy changes and advocacy can help create enabling frameworks, while access to relevant resources and tools can empower people to improve their living conditions. The research indicates that the effects of pain extend beyond individuals; for example, children whose fathers hold low-income jobs are four times more likely to experience episodic headaches. We are using these insights to leverage science and innovation to expand access to everyday health for billions of people.   • We are proud to announce that we have reached 73 million people in economically or medically underserved communities with our self-care solutions in 2024! This achievement is a significant step towards our objective of reaching 100 million people by 2030. At Bayer, we recognize that over half of the world’s population lacks access to basic medical care. That’s why we are continuously innovating our solutions to meet the diverse medical, pricing, channel and health education needs of underserved communities. We also remain on track towards our environment targets. Nearly half of the patients experience moderate to severe symptoms that current available remedies may not adequately alleviate. To address this issue, #TeamBayer introduced the Clarityne Mometasone Intranasal Spray in China for the first time following its successful launch in the LATAM region last year.✨🚀 Our journey began with a fresh approach. Instead of adhering to the traditional global core team structure, we formed an agile team composed of both global and local leaders. This reimagined collaboration facilitated smooth communication, dismantled barriers, and expedited our processes.
