We're thrilled to share some exciting news about the evolution of Wegaw's leadership team! We're recognizing three key individuals for their incredible contributions and dedication by officially recognizing them as co-founders: Daria Luedtke, Thomas James, and Gonzalo Alvarez. Daria Ludtke: Daria's deep expertise in geospatial technologies and remote sensing has been instrumental in shaping our core technologies. She's also been a driving force in our operations, expertly managing our international presence and overseeing HR, programs, and risk management.  Thomas J. : Thomas's journey from successful musician to ML & AI expert is truly inspiring. He's been the mastermind behind translating cutting-edge research into Wegaw's innovative snow detection and water inflow forecasting technology, all while building strong ties with the academic community.  Gonzalo Alvarez: Gonzalo's 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and management have been invaluable. He built our entire infrastructure and live-stream system from the ground up, ensuring a top-tier, reliable platform for our clients.  Daria, Thomas, and Gonzalo embody the spirit of Wegaw – their hard work, vision, and commitment have been foundational to our success. Recognizing them as co-founders is a natural step in acknowledging their immense contributions and solidifying their role in leading Wegaw into the future. While some are leaving the #ParisAgreement, others in Europe we are rolling up our sleeves and enhancing dialogue to identify the most innovative ideas to achieve net zero goals. Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting our #ClimateDialogue - ClimateHack Session #2: "Climate Tech Made in Spain", a workshop that brought together visionary entrepreneurs, investors and experts dedicated to tackling the climate crisis. The event was a testament to the incredible talent and ambition within the Spanish #ClimateTech ecosystem: from groundbreaking solutions in renewable energy and mobility, to disruptive advancements in circular economy and sustainable proptech systems, the discussions highlighted the power of innovation to drive meaningful change. 2024 has proven to be a huge year for Wegaw. Our AI snow monitoring solution has been successfully deployed on 3 continents, spanning 4 countries, and benefiting more than 45 hydropower facilities. With the addition of over 2.4GW of new assets to the Wegaw platform this year, we have empowered our clients to forecast production, efficiently manage water resources, and reduce their environmental and carbon footprints.
