Zürcher Kantonalbank has shown that corporations can and must support the startup ecosystem. Yesterday Verve Ventures held a joint event where we brought together startups, clients and experts from the whole ecosystem to discuss the state of the industry. During the event Haelixa and Scrona Ltd. both discussed their solutions, explained their journey and how they as startups are working with large corporations to solve the most pressing issues that we face as a society. Verve Ventures as well as Zürcher Kantonalbank have helped over 100s of startups across Switzerland and Europe get the funding needed to bring their solutions to markets. The big difference being that ZKB invests directly into startups whereas with Verve Ventures private individuals have the opportunity to invest into startups. This is where our partnership and through events like this that Zürcher Kantonalbank gives their clients the opportunity to educate themselves on how to support the ecosystem. Special Thanks to Florence Schnydrig Moser for hosting us. #Startups #Venture #banking #ecosystem #ZKB #verveventures

Lexroom.ai was founded in 2023 by Paolo Fois, Martina Domenicali, and Andrea Lonza. Lexroom.ai is redefining how lawyers work by harnessing the power of generative AI. The company’s platform offers advanced tools to streamline every stage of legal operations, from high-precision legal research and document analysis to automated drafting of legal briefs, contracts, and other documents. Great news for our portfolio company Phlair: Frontier buyers will pay Phlair $30.6 million to remove 47,000 tons of CO₂ between 2027 and 2030. This offtake will support Phlair’s first commercial-scale DAC facility, Dawn, in Alberta, Canada. This deal marks Frontier’s first electrochemical direct air capture (DAC) offtake. DAC plants are costly to build and use much energy to operate. Phlair addresses these challenges with an electrochemical approach that has the potential to be highly energy efficient. Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/e_WGJGx5 Congratulations on this big win, team Phlair! Thomas Meier, Lorenzo Fabritius
