What a week for MSC Cruises! 🎊 We’re proud to announce that we have officially named our highly anticipated new flagship last night, MSC World America, at a dazzling Naming ceremony. The ceremony was a special occasion and an evening to remember for MSC Cruises. Attended by key travel partners, international media, distinguished guests, partners and top executives from MSC Cruises and our parent company MSC Group. Hosted at our new state-of-the-art MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, we were joined by two VIPs: MSC World America’s Godmother, Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom, co-stars of our ‘Let’s Holiday’ campaign. Godmother Drew Barrymore officially named the ship with the maritime tradition of cutting a ribbon and triggering the breaking of a champagne bottle over the ship’s bow. 🍾 Check out some pictures from the event below which featured live entertainment, inspiring speeches and a range of onboard events highlighting everything the trail-blazing new ship has to offer. Guests also enjoyed a glamourous gala dinner and unforgettable performances which culminated in a spectacular drone and fireworks display against the Miami skyline 🎆. Cheers to MSC World America and her many adventures! https://lnkd.in/eFiVvxfY Credit (for all pictures except Mr. Vago on the podium): Anthony Devlin, Getty Images for MSC Cruises Credit for Mr. Vago on the podium: Ivan Sarfatti for MSC Cruises

The cruise industry is going from strength to strength – that was the key message delivered by our Executive Chairman, Pierfrancesco Vago, during the keynote session at the annual Seatrade Cruise Global conference in Miami. Celebrating it’s 40th edition in 2025, Seatrade Cruise Global has a theme this year of ‘milestones’ – a theme close to our hearts this week, as we inaugurated our new MSC Miami Cruise Terminal, and welcomed MSC World America into her home port, ready for her official naming ceremony. In front of a 3000-strong industry audience, Pierfrancesco addressed the topics most affecting cruise today, including misperceptions of cruise ships contributing to overtourism, Europe’s leading role in achieving Maritime’s decarbonization goals and impact from current geopolitical issues. Meanwhile, our CEO, Gianni Onorato addressed a European CEOs panel, highlighting how the industry growth has been partly fueled by the changing demographic of cruisers. Improved technology, including reliable wifi on board our ships, is enabling more families to cruise for extended periods of time, including on our World Cruises, because children can continue their education online. And this digital technology means business owners can run their businesses remotely, from the comfort of their cruise ship. Fantastic discussions to mark 40 years of Seatrade Cruise Global. Here’s to the next 40 years! 🛳️ #STCGlobal #Keynote #CruiseIndustry #CruiseLeaders #CruiseFuture
