"Acknowledging Our Past, Shaping Our Future" was the powerful theme of this year's SHAPE Asia Pacific in Adelaide, Australia. Despite a cyclone in the region, 120 Global Shapers from 42 hubs across the region united to explore topics such as Indigenous knowledge systems, renewable energy, and innovation. A highlight of the event was the Meet the Leader session with Young Global Leader Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, whose inspiring words encouraged Shapers to dream big and lead boldly into the future. The event also featured collaborative sessions with partners like The Climate Reality Project, ENGIE, and YouthInc. Thank you Global Shapers Community Adelaide, Paniz Jamali, Raissa K., Jess Harris, Satya Srija Allam, Samuel Woghiren, Michelle Howie among others for your leadership.

Last weekend, over 70 Global Shapers from 10 Italian-speaking Hubs gathered in Bari for an unforgettable retreat hosted by the Global Shapers Bari, set in iconic venues like Palazzo Jannuzzi and Bari City Hall. Launched just days before the 2020 lockdown, the Bari Hub has grown into a thriving, youth-led community with 35 members and Alumni as well as strong regional alliances. From engaging conversations with Bari’s Mayor Vito Leccese to hands-on workshops and exchanges with local changemakers, the weekend was a powerful celebration of resilience, collaboration, and purpose. Annual retreats like this are a vital source of energy for our network, helping us reflect, connect, and grow.
