As we approach the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF) in June 2025, it is important to talk about concrete actions that can be taken to further unlock finance for ocean action at scale. In order to achieve this, we need the right financial tools and partnerships in place, so that we can unlock solutions that benefit people, planet, and economies alike. At the World Economic Forum and Friends of Ocean Action, we have done research to support our partners in the development of such tools. That’s why we created the Ocean Finance Handbook, a resource to help bridge the gap between ocean action and investment. This is not just for specialists. The Handbook is designed for business leaders, sustainability officers, policymakers, and investors to offer a clear introduction to the current finance landscape, funding models, and real-world case studies across ocean sectors. If you’re working in climate, sustainability, or innovation and haven’t yet explored ocean finance, now is the time. 📘 Explore the Ocean Finance Handbook: https://lnkd.in/eNitFMnM Peter Thomson, High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy, Silvia Guzzini, Erin Skoczylas, Carlos Eduardo Correa Escaf, Cynthia Barzuna, Alicia Montalvo, Peter Bryant, Ilana Seid, Karen Sack
