💦 Another successful Downstream event is in the books! As always, this event provided an invaluable opportunity for future water leaders to connect with industry experts, engage in roundtable discussions, and learn about the latest trends and practices that will help shape their careers. This time, hosted by Toronto Water, aspiring students and early-career professionals had the chance to tour the Ashbridges Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant, one of Canada’s largest and oldest facilities, located in Toronto’s east end. It was an insightful experience for all involved! https://lnkd.in/dTntgEbc Special thanks to our sponsors, Toronto Metropolitan University and SOI Foundation. Until next time! Be sure to check out the newly launched Downstream page on Water Canada's website. The updated site makes it easier than ever to navigate our ongoing event series, learn how Downstream is bridging the gaps in the water industry, and access valuable resources for students and early-career professionals. You can also explore our Experts Directory, where you'll find detailed profiles of our volunteer experts and connect with industry leaders and mentors. 🔗 Explore the new page >> https://lnkd.in/gWXK3UnK #Downstream #WaterCanada #WaterLeadership #FutureWaterLeaders #IndustryExperts #CareerDevelopment #WastewaterTreatment #Networking #Mentorship #WaterProfessionals City of Toronto William Fernandes Peter Marto Tara Mascarenhas Kiersten Runte Thomas MacPherson Lisa Bowering Kate Pauw, P.Eng., PMP, ENV SP Indra Maharjan, P.Eng., MBS Allyson Bingeman Robert Haller Corinne Lynds Charlie Evans

Water Canada reposted this
At one point yesterday, I was literally surrounded by all of Toronto’s 💩 — and yet I couldn’t wipe the goofy grin off my face. It was a big day for Water Canada as we hosted two meaningful industry events. In the afternoon, we welcomed students, early career professionals, and experts to the Ashbridges Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant for a tour and speed networking session — my baby, Downstream. After that, we hiked a few blocks north to Rorschach Brewing Co , where we joined water industry friends for a fundraising event in support of Operators Without Borders. It feels so good to give back to the community we love. I'm also incredibly grateful to work for an organization like Actual Media Inc. that empowers us to create meaningful experiences like this. My cup is full 💙 Huge thanks to all the people and organizations who helped make these two special events possible.
