We are excited to be working with All Athletes Beverages and Chris Roydhouse, measuring their environmental impact and providing strategic guidance on how to improve. It’s inspirational to see how they have integrated sustainability principles throughout the organization from the very outset. 👏

🌍 70% of fans want teams and leagues to do MORE for sustainability in sports. If you're still debating whether sustainability should be a key driver in your strategy, this 2024 study by Think Beyond is here to break down the "MYTHS" and reveal the undeniable facts. 🤔 🔎 As a reminder in 2024, we identified these "MYTHS" in Sports Sustainability: 1️⃣ Our impact is too minimal 2️⃣ Fans don’t care 3️⃣ It’s too expensive 4️⃣ It's a secondary concern 5️⃣ It’s just a trend Are they still relevant? 🤔 📊 Key Findings from the Study: 💸 Revenue: • 85% of sports professionals believe sustainability is part of their commercial strategy, yet only 36% see it as vital. • ESG strategies deliver real returns in culture (82%), staff retention (72%), fan engagement (65%), and revenue (62%). 🌱 Gap between Expectations & Action: • Only 21% of professionals think sports positively impact the environment, compared to 56% of fans. • However, 70% of fans and 90% of professionals want teams to step up their efforts. 🎟️ Fan Insights: • 53% of fans would pay £5 more per ticket for sustainable initiatives. • Younger fans (18–34) lead the way, with 87% willing to pay extra, compared to 49% of fans aged 55+. 🏅 Drives Actions: • Fans trust teams (30%) the most. • Professionals trust athletes (43%) as the most credible voices for sustainability. 🤔 Leadership Gaps: • 50% of professionals don’t know which UK sports event leads in sustainability. • 61% are unsure about which governing bodies are paving the way. The data speaks for itself. Fans want action, professionals see the value, but WHERE ARE WE AT⁉️ 🤝 Need help turning your sustainability goals into reality? Let’s talk about it! As a small business helping others to manage their environmental impacts, it only makes sense for us to do the same! While we do make our best efforts to minimize our emissions, some travel is essential and this is the result. As we do not have any formal requirements mandating carbon offsets, we choose to mitigate our emissions through an equivalent donation to a high impact climate charity (with help from our partners at High Impact Athletes!) Finally, as we know this is not a perfect science, this year we have donated the equivalent of TWICE our calculated emissions to really make sure we’re doing our part.
