Most early-stage founders misunderstand how investors think. Almost a month ago, during the Immersion Week of the NEXT AI Montréal program, we had the chance to host a standout investor panel that helped clear up a major source of confusion for many startup founders: 💭 How do investors and VCs really evaluate a company? Too often, founders enter fundraising with the wrong assumptions — leading to wasted time, missed opportunities, and a lot of frustration. Thanks to a sharp and honest discussion with: 🔹 Jennifer McDonald – SVP, Cycle Momentum 🔹 David Dufresne – Founding Partner, Pref 🔹 Antony Acciarri – Partner, i4 Capital 🔹 Cédric Beaudoin – Senior Associate, Investissement Québec …we gained real clarity on what investors are actually looking for. 💡 One powerful insight: VC money isn’t the only way to build and grow a company.
