Thank you to The Rotary Club of Calgary Millennium for their donation and support! Our Executive Director, Jamilah Edwards had the pleasure of accepting their generous donation last week. The support of our community is essential to our mission of providing adolescents and young adults in Calgary with affordable access to specialized mental health services.

Our 5th Annual Casino & Poker Night is in the books. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, vendors, employees and volunteers, we proudly raised over $130,000 for the Lionheart Foundation, which will go towards increasing access to best-in-class mental health supports for children and adolescents facing mental health challenges.

Today we want to celebrate one of Lionheart’s founding directors and a current member of our Board of Directors, Peter Williams. On March 7th Peter was honoured by Dan Williams, Minister of Mental Health and Addiction, with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his philanthropic leadership, specifically his involvement with Lionheart and youth mental health. Peter leads Youth Power Hour, our annual fundraising campaign, which raises the majority of our annual fundraised dollars. Peter is also the Managing Director of Annapolis Capital. Strathcona Resources Ltd. hosted its 5th annual employee poker fundraiser on March 6th, in support of Lionheart Foundation. Since 2021, this event has raised over $245,000! 100% of all funds raised go to support the therapy costs for financially disadvantaged youth in Calgary and the surrounding area.
