In a comprehensive study of 105,015 middle-aged individuals in the US, with an average age of 53 years and a follow-up period of up to 30 years, researchers discovered a striking statistic. Only 9.3% of the participants attained what was defined as healthy aging. This entailed reaching the age of 70 years without being affected by 11 significant chronic illnesses and without experiencing any decline in cognitive, physical, or mental well-being.
