To highlight the essential role of family physicians, we asked Ontarians to tell us how their family doctor has gone above and beyond for them. In response, we received over 750 heartwarming submissions, including more than 30 from the catchment area of the Central West Ontario Health Team.    Last night, alongside OCFP President, Jobin V. and President-Elect Eric Wong, MD MClSc (FM) CCFP FCFP CFD COI CPP and , I had the pleasure of presenting 23 of those family physicians with a certificate of recognition for the outstanding care they provide.     As a resident of Brampton, it was incredibly special to celebrate these physicians who live and work in my community.     Thank you to Hon. Charmaine Williams, Deepak Anand, and the teams at the Central West Ontario Health Team and William Osler Health System for organizing this event and recognizing the dedication and care of family physicians.     Family physicians are the foundation of our health care system, and every Ontarian should have access to one.   To all family physicians across the province, thank you for the essential role you play in the health of your patients and communities!

Today is the International Day of Pink – a day to stand up against bullying, discrimination, homophobia and transphobia in all their forms. As we advocate for safe and inclusive spaces, we’re also shining a light on the barriers youth face when accessing mental health services. 🧠💬 We conducted a review of current gaps, and this infographic highlights the key findings — from long wait times and lack of culturally relevant care to challenges faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ and immigrant youth.
