  • Here, the future is being built: groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bécancour center Yesterday morning, despite the rain, smiles were present as the Laurentide Controls team, joined by Mrs Lucie Allard, Mayor of Bécancour, and Mr Francois St-Pierre, Project Manager for Groupe Construction Lavigne & Baril, symbolically turned the first shovel of earth on the site of the future service center in the heart of the Vallée de la Transition Énergétique, scheduled to open in autumn 2025. A press conference followed in the afternoon, at the Auberge Godefroy in Bécancour, to share the news of the new center's upcoming opening with the dignitaries, partners, customers and media in attendance. We are grateful for everyone's presence at this event, which enabled us to meet key partners and further connect with the Vallée de la transition énergétique community. For over 50 years, Laurentide Controls, the parent company of Atlantic Controls, has been working alongside local players, contributing to projects that are shaping the region's economy and industry.   • Laurentide Controls, the parent company of Atlantic Controls, is proud to announce the construction of a new facility in Bécancour, scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. The construction contract was awarded to Construction Lavigne & Baril and will mark the 8th building and 6th maintenance and repair center for the company in Eastern Canada. “Our presence in Bécancour underlines our commitment to providing reliable solutions to meet the current and future challenges our customers face throughout the lifecycle of their operations. ”   - Steve Dustin, Eng., President and CEO This new facility will be an important step in Laurentide's commitment to support the growing needs of its industrial partners in the Vallée de la transition énergétique (VTE), and will offer essential services to local businesses, such as an assembly and repair shop, local industrial maintenance activities, valve and pump repair, as well as essential instrumentation support and electrical services.
