✨ Spotlight on Women in Science: Meet Marina Furbino Martins from the DurAMat Project! ✨ As part of our #WomenInScience series, we’re sharing the voices of the incredible female researchers driving innovation in durable and sustainable materials. Today, we highlight Marina Furbino Martins, one of the talented PhD researchers of DurAMat project, who shares her perspective on representation, mentorship, and the power of diversity in science: 💬 “Since I started my journey in science, I’ve always felt the lack of representation. When there’s no one like you in certain roles, it becomes harder to believe you belong there. Connecting with other women and building a support network became a key source of inspiration during these years, along with finding role models who, though few, were leading the way. I’ve also been lucky to have amazing mentors throughout my career, proving how valuable guidance can be in helping us reach our potential. As more girls and young women enter science, it’s good to remember that diversity in all forms is more than important – it's necessary.
