📢Euroconsumers member Testachats / Testaankoop and 13 other organisations - including patient groups, pharmacists, mutualitiés (social security), general practitioners, families, and elderly advocates- are saying ⛔ NO to the EU’s plan to ditch paper medicine leaflets for digital-only versions. ❓ Why? QR codes can be a helpful addition, but they cannot be the only solution. While paper leaflets are not perfect, they remain essential for many patients. Digital-only leaflets could exclude vulnerable patients! Our survey shows that: 🔹 79% of people still want paper leaflets, even if a QR code is available! 🔹 69% think the font size on paper leaflets is too small. 🔹 29% throw away the leaflet during treatment because it's either difficult to reinsert or because they think they won’t need it anymore —which could become problematic if side effects occur. 💡 That's why QR codes should complement paper leaflets, not replace them! What a fantastic two days! 🚀 It was amazing to see how Global Anti-Scam Summit (GASS) has grown over the past four years to a true coalition of the willing, bringing together people from all backgrounds with one shared mission: fighting scams. 1️⃣ Scams threaten competitiveness: We’re losing billions, yet scams don’t get the attention they deserve. They should be treated as seriously as industrial policy, defence, or economic competitiveness. 2️⃣ We also need to treat scams as a national security threat! They uphold other criminal activities. 3️⃣ Victims must be at the centre—scam survivors face not just financial loss but also shame and emotional distress. They need real support, and it's on us to push for action. Being co-organisers of this conference was truly inspiring. We are jealous of the strong reimbursement system UK have in place 😜 Hope everyone left feeling motivated by the discussions. It’s a long road ahead, but knowing that the GASS community has our back makes the fight easier. And even fun... 😊 Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA)

I wished for peer support. I wished for others to understand. I wasn’t seen as a victim, I was seen as a stupid person and even a suspect." -Cecilie Fjellhøy, Co-Founder, LoveSaid "As a victim, when you realise someone had a fake life and identity, you feel lost and powerless. I went to the police and was laughed at for two years. In that time, 14 more people became victims. The common thread in these cases is emotional manipulation. Our organisation, ‘LoveSaid,’ is created by victims, for victims." - Anna Rowe, Founder and Manager at Catch The Catfish, Co-Founder of LoveSaid "When I first started working on fraud, everything academically and practically focused on what the victim did wrong. There is a huge disconnect between the lived experience of fraud, the police response, and public understanding. The level of victim blaming in the public sphere is atrocious.
