In February, 53 adland swimmers dived into the pools for the annual batyr Splash the Stigma challenge, to raise funds for youth mental health. 💦🏊♂️ Together, the industry swimmers across the country swam 777 kms and raised more than $32,000 for batyr’s mission to create a world where all young people live mentally healthy and fulfilling lives.🩵 Congrats to Ingrid Elgar who swam the longest distance (57km!) and to Amanda Cooper for raising the most funds.👏 Big thanks to Motio, NOVA Entertainment, Special Australia, UM Australia and VMO who signed up entire swim teams and to ACM and NOVA Entertainment for providing pro-bono media support for the campaign. What a morning of connection!💛 This morning, in partnership with our series sponsor Meta, we hosted our first Big Chat of the year on Good Connections. Big thanks to our expert speakers who shared their insights and tips on connection: 💛 Dr Marlee Bower from Matilda Institute at University of Sydney talked about the importance of connection on our physical and mental health (isolation is just as bad for our health as smoking, alcoholism and obesity), the cost of isolation ($2.7bn/year!) and what we can collectively do to create a better future for social connection. 💛 Marcus Watson, CEO of BackTrack Youth Works shared how BackTrack creates connection through belonging, mastery, generosity, independence - and dogs! 🐶 So inspiring hearing about how their unique and effective ways are helping keep kids alive, out of jail and chasing their hopes and dreams. 💛 MITCH WALLIS, psychology thought leader and founder of Heart On My Sleeve took us through his science-backed 5 step model for having REAL conversations with so many useful tips on how to have meaningful connection in moments that matter. Thank you everyone who joined us this morning, Meta for hosting and our MOOD crew for serving us tea with meaning.

With Cyclone Alfred expected to make landfall in Brisbane on Thursday, we will be postponing our Big Clash Brisbane event until the following week. We'll be in touch with all the players and spectators later today with more details and we look forward to batting for good in calmer and safer conditions. Stay safe Queenslanders!💛

The Pinnacle Foundation awards educational scholarships to young LGBTQIA+ Australians, many who continue to face family, faith and community rejection because of how they identify. Every Pinnacle Foundation scholar is matched with a mentor who has walked their path. Thanks to the generous support across our industry, in 2020 we launched the Sam Smith Scholarship with Pinnacle, to honour one of the most energetic, driven and generous men to work in the digital media industry, who sadly lost his battle to brain cancer in 2020. The Sam Smith Scholarship powered by UnLtd. is awarded (in perpetuity) to LGBTQIA+ students studying in the fields of marketing, advertising, technology or communication. The 2025 Sam Smith Scholarship recipient has been announced - congratulations Ziggy! https://lnkd.in/ggek8WMk 👏 Find out more about Ziggy and the rest of the inspiring cohort of talented young Australians here: https://lnkd.in/gpjRTRQw This Mardi Gras season is the perfect time to raise awareness and funds to support The Pinnacle Foundation by hosting a Picnic for Pinnacle with your teams.
